Roach had said this about DLH leading up to the Pac fight and now I heard someone say it about Mosley.

What exactly do people mean when they say this? Are they referring to the physical deterioration or do they think something has happened in the head?

    Not willing to take chances.
Don't want to get hit to land a punch.
    End of their careers.

Yes, too tentative to get meaningful offense going. It is both physical and mental I think.

Once they feel they can't do certain things they used to, a bit of mental insecurity creeps in I think, along with the lack of hunger that was once there.

Joel Casamayora in his most recent fight looked to me like someone who could no longer pull the trigger.

usually guys who dont throw punches as much as they used to. This is usually because they are afraid to get hit or they just dont have that mentality they once had

In Tarver 3 he did something. The Calzaghe fight was horrible. He just stood there.

agree with all the posts and it seems like they see the openings but can't capitalize. holyfield has said it many time: he knows what to do but his body won't

It means when you see the openings, they close up before you can react to them, exploit them, due the your deteriorated reflexes.

that 5th round in the 3rd fight was brilliant but it was the last gasp of his brilliant career

i saw the calzaghe fight in new york and it sickened me to watch and then listen to the calzaghe fans act like it meant something
