Personally, i don't. On paper it's Golovkin's toughest fight to date but i won't be at all surprised if it doesn't look like that during the fight.

Nobody does. I doubt Macklin even does.

Taken the pay day, good luck to him.

Has Golovkin's chin ever been properly tested? has he been wobbled in any fights?

Macklin will be gutted that he got Golovkin whilst Barker gets a shot at Geale. Praying Barker can stay fit and injury free for that one.

I can't see Macklin lasting the distance personally, a late stoppage probably, he may have a bit of early success Macklin is a good pressure fighter in the opening rounds. Might have to adapt his game against GGG though.

I think MacKlin will start bright but get caught coming in. In 8th round. I think he will be interested in a British dust up with barker if he beats Beale then wouldn't he.

It hasn't but i find it funny that the same people who say Golovkin's chin hasn't been tested are the same people that say defensively he isn't that good. The Ouma fight was the only fight i seen him take heavy shots but still didn't even move him, he hasn't fought that reckless since and never did so prior to it. Golovkin takes this comfortably.

There's one thing that Macklin will do and that is test Golovkin, Macklin has a great output and workrate, he won't just let Golovkin hit him at will without giving him some payback.

Personally I don't think GG will knock him out either, Macklin will work a game plan and he pushed Martinez close and caused him problems - until Martinez came on strong.

Also you have to remember Macklin is a livewire in the early rounds, just look at his early stoppages of Alcine, El**** and Asikainen, Macklins problem is whether he can pace himself properly, like against Sturm, Moore and Martinez it's fair to say he punched himself out.

I wouldn't be surprised if GGG is handed his first loss, he's a great puncher, but I think Macklin will test his chin and even hurt him at some point.

Meh Ouma has virtually no power, different kettle of fish to Macklin in that department.

Golovkin has more than just power, it's an unfair tag that seems to be sticking - although that's gonna happen when he's pulverizing opponents. The man is seriously skilled.

Macklin is too brave for his own good, he will actually stand and trade at points with GGG and take a Brutal beating. GGG has way more power and has never been down as an AM or a Pro and he spars bigger dues as well.

A quick KO loss would be better for him that a sustained 6-10 rounds beating. this fight won't be pretty IMO.

GGG has shown an excellent chin and has hardly been hit he is a much better boxer than people give him credit for he has a vast and proven amateur record. Macklin will definitely come to fight but he will get caught and hurt, Golovkin hits far harder than Martinez or Jamie Moore and Macklin likes to get involved in exchanges and makes the mistake of firing back when he gets hit. He'll get stopped, GGG will get to him.

The problem i see here is macklins style hes a go foward pressure fighter hel be walking onto the big shots and by the 5th or 6th hed ov taken too many hope im wrong like

  15. Macklin and buddy are not naive enough to just walk into golovkins power,I'm amazed how many people are predicting this
They will have a gameplan, sturm fight was about workrate,Martinez was movement and I'm thinking this fight is all about educated pressure and not taking early risks

Don't write off macklin, golovkin is the better boxer and has more power but Matthew is strong in both departments and will bring his own set of problems to fix
I think if Matthew takes a few early rounds then ggg might get frustrated and look for the knockout,if Matthew has the discipline to stay away from engaging in heavy fire too much he may be able to hurt him himself

Yes ggg is favourite but anyone who thinks macklin tries walking him down isn't perhaps giving macklin his due as a good boxer himself
Golovkin points for me but I would love macklin to pull it off and gain reward for taking the hard fights
