Sorry that should have read 12oz gloves, I thought MW amateurs boxed with 12's but I could be wrong I know it ranges in weight cats, either way Bute got nailed with a peach of a shot from GGG.

how do people think macklin has no chance here. its crazy. i think its a 50-50 fight. i knocked 50 on macklin to win cause he is such a good price. this is probably macklins last crack at a world title. if he didnt think he cud win it surely he wud have waited to get a shot at geale v barker winner or even peter quillin. golovkin has never been 12 rounds. he has never fought anyone of macklins quality. wat will golovkin be like in the late rounds fighting against someone who is actually trying to win. i mean once people feel gggs power they tend to go into a survival mode. im not sayin golovkin couldnt land a bomb in the early rounds and ko macklin. but i think mackin is smart and experienced enough to try and out box ggg for the first half of the fight until ggg gets tired and his power starts to drop. if macklin cud box just as good as martinez for the first half of the fight then he will surely be able to do it against ggg. i see a macklin points win. but at the same time ggg always has that one punch knockout power to stop any fighter. 50-50 fight

Trust me, the judges won't be needed in this -they may aswell stay home. Golovkin hasn't had to have scorecards read out in his fights for 5 years now and he won't saturday night either. Macklin is making a lot of noise the last few days but he's in trouble.

Golovkin has proven amateur pedigree and scary power. Macklin isn't hard to hit he's a pressure fighter that ships a fair few shots even in his arguably career best restrained performance against Martinez he took a fair few clean shots and GGG landing those will knock him out. It's that simple, Jamie moore did it, GGG is a certainty to do it. It's free money.

yeah but i wonder how ggg will react wen someone does hit him and put some pressure pressure on him for once. cause fighters normally go into survival mode once they feel gggs power. but u no that macklin wont. macklin went down in weight to 154 wen he got KOd by jamie moore

Ggg has skills too and macklin coming forward trying to put pressure on plays right into ggg's hands as he is a counter puncher. I think GGG is the better boxer he thinks his way through fights whereas macklin fights a bit like hatton and its easy to work out that style. Don't get me wrong I think macklin is a class act and by far the toughest assignment yet for GGG but he is just too good and hits too hard. Macklin may have some early success and some moments like against Martinez but he will be stopped.

Golovkin is technically excellent, people forget that and go on about his power all the tine, understandably so as he is obliterating people of late. Golovkin wins this, better than Macklin in every area.

I have to agree, I wouldn't rule out Macklin for his heart and conditioning alone, but the head says GGG all night long.

Well at least it was a Quick KO loss, still Brutal though.

I can't believe that some people on numerous forums thought Macklin was going to win. British Bias or just underrating GGG or never seen him fight before?.

Maybe a combination of all three maybe, I knew macklin was going to get stopped and in brutal fashion, GGG is just too good and hits too hard. He beats any mw right now and is probably the only person who has a chance to defeat ward as well, he's the real deal and that shot was sickening bet macklin has done a rib in. He dispatched of macklin with ease and was never in any danger and macklin is world class and has mixed with some of the best at mw.

    Baffles me. Really does.

Macklin has always utterly average and would get beaten by Barker and Murray.
