...that's one of the main criticisms given when Pac's overall skill set is discussed. Which makes me wonder, given the high volume of punches he throws and given how much he puts into those punches (which is a lot), who are the fighters who have similar, or higher punch output as Pac but are much harder to hit? Let's put it into 2 categories: 1. Active fighters 2. Retired fighters I'm actually curious here so any rational input is appreciated.
Aaron Pryor retired Cant think of anyone current who throws whole lof of effective punches like pac man Maybe Gamboa, but he gets a little wild and he does not have a good chin like pac. and another thing though, the more punches you throw the more likely you are to get countered. there offense for the most part is their defense, its a double edge sword...
lmao!!!!!! Bro,how does gamboa not have a better chin then pacman?? Pacman has been knocked out 2 times!!!!!!!!!!! Step ya boxing game up hater.
Thats one of the biggest myths in boxing. The reason Pac has been so succesful is because he is rarely hit flush with shots. His D is his offense which is a hell of an offense. He moves so fast its hard to hit him since he can hit you before you hit him and he has good power. His chin is good but i wouldnt say great. JMM was able to hurt him when he would land flush which was rare but more than Pac is used to.
Calzaghe threw a similar amout to Pacquiao and was harder to hit. The only difference is that Pacquiao hits a lot harder which makes a big difference.
calzaghe. harder to hit, higher output. but much weaker punches (not in his early career though) comparative through weights
First off go back and see how he got knocked out and then talk to me newbie. Then we will see who needs to step their boxing game up. Second don't come to me with those childish remarks, step up to the plate like a man...Now log off :hi:
He's not easy to hit. But he's hittable. The straight right works a treat against him, someone with a decent straight right, combined with good timing...has a good chance at landing fairly consistently.
Easy to hit is somebody like Katsidis. Pacquiao isn't that east to hit, although his defense still is leaky. Even slow fighters like Margarito are able to land on him. As much as I like him (and I think he could beat Mayweather with his amazing offense and unpredictability), part of me sees somebody with Floyd's speed, timing, and accuracy landing that right hand over and over on Pac.
