So are we going to give Wide UD's to fighters who don't try and hurt their opponent?

Is that how it's going to be now?

The fight was slightly similar to Leonard and Hagler. But I do remember Leonard trying his very best to inflict damage. He hit him with the flurries. Banged his way out. Took it too him in the center of the ring occasionally. Hagler still won IMO, but that was nothing compared to Manny-Floyd.

Floyd never even tried to hurt his man.

I can give Morales the decision over Pacquiao easily. Because he hurt Manny occasionally. Walked him down. Took it to him. Imposed his size and yes tried to hurt Pacquiao.

It's a fight and not dancing. But Floyd must not know.

scoring criteria is Effective (keyword effective) Aggression, Clean effective punching, Defence and ring generalship, using that criteria Mayweather won.

Are we going to give rounds to a fighter who just swings and misses, and gets caught a few times in the process, too?

We should just go back and convert Willie Pep's wins to losses........... Same with Whitaker.

Judges don't give fights to fighters who land 81 punches with such low output. Explain how C-level fighters (pac nation grade) like Maidana, Judah, Castillo all did better than Pac? Is Pac D-level? Maidana, Mosley all landed hellacious shots.

Pac's resume sucks. He waits on the sidelines and waits for names to lose convincingly then he drains em. He finally fough a real challenge and got schooled.

Floyd wasn't aggressive. He gets no points there. Clean effective punching was Manny in a landslide. Defence and ring generalship was an advantage for Floyd. However, if the punches have so little on them effective defense can simply be absorbing the punches.

It's Hagler-Leonard all over again. Only much more egregious this time.

If the fighter who swings and misses is pushing the action while at the same time facing no aggression from this opponent then yes.

I love how people just make up their own scoring criteria when it comes to Floyd. Someone please explain how you beat Floyd by throwing less punches and by landing under 7 punches a round? Exactly what did Pacquiao do to win the fight?

We should give the fight to the fighter who connects on average just less than 7punches per rd or about 2 per minute and hits 1 in 5 of punches thrown, just let that sink in

Leonard threw combinations, a lot of combinations...Also Hagler tried to walk through the punches.

Both are a fair few levels above Floyd and Manny.
