I would very confidently pick Mayweather, but it's no more pointless than anything else for him at 154lbs.

Thanks for that, but my point was kinda acknowledged by the post immediately below.

I don't believe that Cotto would beat Floyd, nor do I think that Saturdays win counted for anything particularly special, but a lot of Floyd fans seem to get very annoyed at people simply doing their job.

Of course Roach is gonna big himself and Cottos potential up... That's exactly what he's supposed to do. God help, but every mention of Floyd that isn't fawning seems to be answered by a torrent of anger from FMJ fans.

Can't you just be content with following the widely acknowledged era greatest (P'haps alongside Bhop)? - can you really not bear to hear any other fighter get praised without leaping in?

EDIT: FWIW the Maravilla fight is the one that Cotto appears to have realigned with TR for, so the FMJ question is likely to remain hypothetical anyway.

If you think rodriguez is more then ok then slap yourself intentionalbutt seriously. Who was rodriguez best win? Wolak? Case close.

I think it's because fans(like me) who craved PBF vs prime Cotto got a glimpse of that old guy the other night.

That being said, although Cotto pushed Floyd more than we are used to seeing, Floyd still won clearly, and likely would again. However, I can't help but be a little intrigued.

You clearly don't get how this works.

Wolak himself is no lower than C+.

Oscar Diaz, Allen Conyers and Shamone Alvarez were at the time real prospects and decent scalps as well, B- at worst.

He also earned (but didn't get) victories over Theophane, Jackiewicz, Wolak the first time and Hlatschwayo twice, proving himself the better man h2h than all of them. Are they all D level then? Because to rate Delvin C- you can't have those he outfought below him.

Hernandez is no world-beater, yet look at his resume and tell me he's a D.

Tahdooahnippah I'll give you, bum talent with a padded record, but dude was still a huge tough middleweight (and had fought at light heavy) and Delvin ripped him apart.

You didn't really think it through logically when you threw out that "c minus", did you?

Dude can't be rated lower than guys he beat (or got robbed against) so you've pained yourself into a corner unless you want to call all those people no higher than D+.

You're probably right but he is still the one who came the closest since Oscar, and before that Zab, and before that Jose and before that Lorenzo. That's very few names covering a very long stretch of time.

People would rather see Cotto Mayweather 2

    Than Mayweather Khan 1

trout fight would definitely play out differently.

ppl don't know this...there was a lot of disarray in cotto's camp for that fight. he and diaz were not getting along. they trained in big bear for a portion of that camp with cotto away from his family. his head wasn't right. the gameplan wasn't right and he looked really flat. i thought trout schooled him. i think the rematch plays out way differently.

on a different note...did u see trout vs rodriguez? that was a damn near even fight. cotto destroyed delvin.

All of them a c level fighters or maybe some are b- fighters but that still don't proved a damn thing that delvin is higher then a b level fighter. Like I said delvin best win is against freaking wolak. You want to say delvin is more them a c level fighter? Cool but imo you're dead wrong.

Cotto definitely came out a lot more aggressive, and determined than he's been in a long time. Of course the opponent needs to be considered, but..........

i've considered the opponent. i've never seen rodriguez beaten like that. cotto did what he was supposed to with that level of opposition in front of him. i didn't expect it to be so easy.
