So, based on decisions, who is the fighter of the year so far?

We've got Ward, Crawford, Lomachenko, Roman Gonzalez and....**** it's too early for me to think about this when I haven't slept. Who are you guys picking?

Crawford is not in the question at all.
Andre Ward will take it on the basis of beating Barrera and Kovalev, but I think it could be Vasyl Lomachenko depending on his performance against Nicholas Walters.

Loma is certainly debatable, if he wins decidedly. Though I think Frampton deserves a shout!!

Frampton, Ward or Crawford. I'd like to see Frampton get it personally. Inb4 Joshua or Golovkin get it though.

I'll be sad if Frampton won because it'll feel like the boxing world will be rewarding him for ducking Rigo.

Frampton and Ward are good choices. What Frampton did this year was pretty amazing, but Ward does own the much bigger victory of 2016.

Beating Quigg and Santa Cruz is a stunning year. The Quigg fight stunk to hell high but he got the job done and the Santa Cruz fight was one of the fights of the decade. Rigondeaux has only himself to blame. And Frampton moved up in weight so you cannot call him a coward. And the rematch is already booked. Frampton had a tremendous year.

I'm curious, how does Rigo only have himself to blame? It seems pretty obvious to me that none of the top fighters had any interest in fighting Rigo, and that includes guys like Santa Cruz, Mares, Frampton and Quigg. I also believe most of those fighters moved up intentionally to avoid Guillermo. Rigo is a relatively small Jr Featherweight, but his skillset is so elite that i don't believe anyone at 126 currently can beat him.

He's easily the most avoided fighter in the sport and it's been that way now for at least 3 years. None of those fighters in and around his weightclass have shown any interest in fighting the guy.

You know you're an idiot when you pretend your fighter won a fight. Be upset with your guy losing, but pretending he won as if it is reality is a sign you need to visit the mental institution.

Ward? 90% of experts and boxers saw him losing the Kov fight, he was battered, but worse decisions have happened so maybe he will.

I gotta go with Bud. Crawford did what Ward was supposed to have done with Kov, Ward has no business even being in the running for Fighter Of The Year.
