So basically Canelo/Cotto would want to fight an old-drained version of GGG

Yup because Cotto is fresh out the box, younger, bigger and stronger. :rofl

I don't see what the problem is. I think A side fighters should get the respect they deserve. They should be able to decide what temperature the arena is, how many seconds the camera is on them in between rounds, and how many GGG fans are allowed to buy tickets as well.

As much as I hate the fact that he hasn't had the best of competition, no way he should concede a catchweight. Cotto won at 160 he should fight at that damn weight.

I'd give Cotto more props for admitting he'd rather drop the belt than face Golovkin instead of the farce he's doing

I don't have any problem in seeing Cotto/Canelo vs GGG @ catchweight but not for a middleweight title.:nono

WBC should keep their word and strip Cotto/Canelo if they don't want to defend the WBC mw title against GGG.

Agree with Flashy KO. Catchweights are a "meet in the middle" measure for two fighters in different weight classes.

This BS about draining guys to death for title fights has got to stop.

GGG is bad for Canelo's health, he'll keep starving and draining himself to make 154/155 for years to come in order to avoid 160 where he belongs, it's hilarious :patsch

Actually Cotto made Martinez do a 159 lb catch weight. GGG could easily make 159 though so Cotto will ask for 156 or 157. The Roach special.

160 lbs, period. Especially when you defend the lineal middleweight title.
