I agree.

I think Garcia won more rounds and therefore won the match but got beaten up over the course of the fight. If fights were scored as a whole fight rather than round by round, I would have Peterson as the winner.

 

I watched Quillin/Lee then went to the bar and only caught a tad bit of the last few rounds of Garcia/Peterson. So I can't give my scoring.

But Garcia is one of the most hated fighters on ESB. And if you're hated on this forum, obviously you are a **** boxer who never beat anyone good, "ducks" every good opponent out there, and deserves to lose every close fight. Oh, and you're boring. So I'll watch the fight soon enough but until then I'm essentially treating the result as a Draw in my head, as that seems fair and most accurate of mass consensus for the time being.

He was horrible for Quillin/Lee.

 

It was a close fight. Peterson ran the early rounds of the fight behind a soft flyweight jab. Garcia racked up those rounds with body shots. Neither man did much damage, but the flyweight jabs were just useless. So Garcia won the early rounds.

Garcia gassed towards the end of the fight and started getting tagged by some power shots. He wasn't stunned, but damage was starting to accumulate.

In the end Peterson's decision to be passive early lost him the fight.

 

Phila125....you are so right. SRL was completely absurd.

 

Honestly I really just hate all of PBC's production...literally everything except for the actual fights.

HBO, and now Showtime (who's gotten a lot better recently) have 100x better production than PBC.

Do love PBC's matchmaking though.

 

PEDerson didn't to enough to win the fight in the second half of the fight. His evasive tactics in the first half of the fight were killing the contest as a spectacle. The judges got both scores on the night spot on. All that water retention to the PED gained muscle that PEDerson dehydrated out to make the weight and give him a 22lbs increase on the limit is bogus and these commissions need to clamp down on these tactics. Even with that advantage he still couldn't win.

 

did Garcia-Peterson resemble Rios-Abril or Chavez Sr.-Whitaker? no? then it wasn't a robbery you d1ckheads

Shhhh your logic makes too much sense and doesn't support the famous ESB narrative of "Danny Garcia is a bum".
