I wish he would just go away. He got a gift against Rosado and now he gets to fight for the title? Murray is a shell of himself at this point, wasn't he whining about how he was drained at 160.

I don't begrudge Murray getting another payday. By all accounts he's a nice bloke, comes across well and gives it his all in the ring.

    Saunders vs. Hooker, eh? :risas3:

I think Saunders vs. a genuine hooker, pulled off the street corner, in five inch heels, would be roughly as competitive. :deal:

Murray's toughness and willingness to fight is why he's given so many opportunities.

He also was robbed of a world title when clearly beating Sturm but was robbed on the scorecards, and given his first loss.

Like everyone says, he seems a very genuine guy and doesn't buy into your typical boxing slagging match nonsense.

.....And who knows what would have happened had he not been robbed of that world title, he's never been able to drop it, as he still mentions it to this day.

It’s a good fight for sure, for a boxer mover who admits he was inspired by Floyd he mixes up attack n defence nicely,so funny Lemieux and his own fanboys claiming Saunders ran when Lemieuxs Face was battered n bruised.
How odd is it now that one can lose, get a beating in the process and claim foul play cause the other guy used the ring lol.

It's just double standards from fanboys/haters when it comes to the whole 'actual boxing' stuff like defence/use of the ring etc.

Take the Joshua v Parker fight.

Joshua was the aggressor and controlled the center of the ring for 99% of the fight. The second he showed good defensive footwork and backed up when Parker came in throwing 'Wilderesque Windmills', it's because Joshua was 'hurt'......Despite Parker not landing a single punch in the whole engagement.

Winning a UD over 12 rounds, just through a good jab and ring control, is somehow seen as a weaker result than a KO/TKO......Despite the fact that it's more impressive.

Roy Jones on commentary for BJS v Lemieux was completely right when Jim said something like "With BJS this dominant, why not go in for the KO?".......

Jones said something like "Because he is so dominant! He's schooling his opponent and doesn't need to take a risk....Why change something when it's going to win you the fight?"

Although I do think that it's ridiculous for him to get another shot, to call him one of the most fortunate boxers of the era while he got robbed blind at his greatest hour, is kinda out there.
I think he deserves a little compensation for what was done to him back in 2015 when he should have become the WBC and Ring 160 champion.

Hmm. I somewhat agree. Murray had a case for the W against Martinez but he botched it and Martinez was clearly past it. (Probably why Murray doesn't get any credit for that fight, credit that he deserves)
But come on, this is his fifth title shot. Who else has had so many?

like I said, ridiculous but not in any way near the most fortunate boxers from the 2000's on.

He acted like a pure wankstain in the ring after his gift to Rosado , in a fight where it was Rosado that gave it his all while Murray back peddled and held over and over.
He fought dirty against Martinez which was disgraceful considering Sergio was an old man with a blown out knee.
He never showed any heart or an unbreakable will to win in all of his biggest fights and done enough every time just to lose a decision so he could claim a moral victory.
    I hope BJS retires him

Saunders would probably beat them both at the same time as well. Murray is well past his best now.
