    Looks like Marlon Wright again. Famous for his 'superb' handling of the first Andrade fight.

    Now Mendy knows he'll have to KO Bute twice to have a chance. :fire

    So Mendy would have a chance if they gave him a French referee or something? You think that ref would have taken the punch that KO's him this weekend? :think

    I have to agree the referee sucks, but he didn't have any influence at the Bute vs Andrade 1 outcome.
    He didn't stop the fight after the fight had finished or something, he just made himself look stupid.

    Mendy will be out of there whenever Bute wants to take him out so it's a moot point. He's not worthy to be fighting for a title.

    A lot of referees would have stopped Bute. He was out on his feet.

    Then you should read the IBF rules that were in effect.
    You can't count a fighter out in the 12th and final round if he is on his own two feet and not toughing the canvas with at least one glove after the final bell within 10 seconds... So in that case the verdict had been overruled by the IBF. :deal

    Bute was lucky, but the referee had no influence at the outcome.
