they fight. kessler wins; bute loses. kessler becomes champion & bute loses his title. kessler gets more leverage for future fights & bute gets less.

    or:

they fight. bute wins. he's still the champion. kessler loses. he's still the challenger & a big name in the division...he's still due a fight with stieglitz & a shot at the wbc title/winner of the super 6.

one of them has something to lose. the other has something to gain. which one should get more money?

& whatever the split was; kessler would be getting good money. more than he's getting for stieglitz. i honestly don't see the problem.

If Pac moves up and challenges the champion... who would get the largest purse?

In calzaghe vs rjj they split the money and rjj got home advantage although joe was the most recent beltholder.

If Ibragimov was champ and Vitaly came back (hypothetical) who would earn the most.

    ...

Most of the time the most proven and biggest name is the one with the belt, but not always. and bute needs Kessler more than the other way around .. only someone in camp interbox doesn't understand that or are not confident in bute.

Please enlighten us on the peanuts you are referring to....

Give factual and actual figures. You made the comment so you back it up accordingly if you stand by it.

After you do that, you will show us comparisons with other fighters in fights involving similar circumstances....without HBO's presence in the picture since their millions in gift distort true figures.

How much are mandatory fighters given as a % of revenues ? Please confirm you know tha actual standard applied.....

Just get outta the closet already...you dislike Bute now and will find anything to validate your hate. :p

if unproven haye faced the dominant heavyweight of his generation; should it be a 50/50 split just cos they both held belts?

    oh. it was. :happy

The german market for boxing is much bigger than the Canadian market. Also Kessler - Stieglitz will be sold to Showtime anyway etc.

All in all and with the knowledge of the gate etc. Bute and Kessler have generated I'm fairly sure the Stieglitz will provide Kessler with a bigger payday.

The real problem here, is that some people flamed Bute in the past. They said a lot of stuff, but some of them was that Bute will never fight fighters like Kessler. So when Interbox made an offer to team Kessler and team Kessler ignored it and decide to go the Steiglitz route, those same hater needs to find something to not look stupid. So its why they now say that in fact Bute never tried to give a fair deal to Kessler and so never meant to make the fight happened, when in fact the offer was genuine.

Im saying that most fighter needs a belt to have big money. You say that super stars can ignore belt...

Are you putting Kessler in the same as Pac, Klit or RJJ?

Yes, and the more proven fighter had home town advantage. I'm fairly sure Bute can come to Copenhagen and get 50-50 even if Kessler then has a belt.

Then it would be just like wlad-haye.

Craziness... Kessler gets the automatic 30% share from his mandatory status with Stieglietz. He may certainly have negociated the PPV money otherwise with Stieglietz, but Bute was already letting him keep all revenues from Europe anyways.

I dont think so, since Kessler will have 30% of the revenue since its a mendatory.

Since Bute is bringing the 2M$ not Kessler, its easy for Kessler to ask for a 50-50.

When Kessler made 2 + mill fighting bouadla have is guaranteeing Kessler that he will make at least 750.000 if he comes to Canada... how can that even be taken seriously?

If interbox really think they made an offer that wasn't laughable then they can only do one thing : come to Copenhagen, because then they simply are either incompetent, unsure of bute, or don't have the money.

kessler got to keep all that revenue. that was part of the offer according to the op.

unlikely. & it's gone to purse bids so kessler will only get 30% rather than 40% as he would have got from bute. in fact; the op agrees that bute/kessler would have paid more for kess.

i'm honestly a fan of neither...but i really don't understand the problem people are having with this.

What 2 mill? the showtime money? Showtime posts money in Kesslers fights too... even when he meets guys like bouadla.

No, reality is that Kessler is generating more per fight than bute is. This is why bute only once got 1.5 mill for a fight. A figure that Kessler hasn't fought below in several years.

Look only one thing we can say for sure:
Bute have 2M$ from Showtime to fight. He brings it, so if he organize the fight he may use it in any way he wants. So if Interbox organize in Montréal a fight, they can use it to pay a part of Kessler salary.

If Team Kessler wants to organize it in Danemark, I guess its for them to find the money from tv contract, not to interbox to give to Kessler as a gift.
