By your admission, they stopped Hopkins from mounting any offence of his own. Imagine if that was Calzaghe back when he could still claim that he "slapped hard"?

Calzaghe vs Lacy/ Kessler were bigger fights in Calzaghe's career then the Hopkins fight??:huh

Of course. They were fights in Calzaghe's home country against undefeated young boxers. Hopkins was considered by many to be shot before Calzaghe beat him.

those fights were a sort of redemption for joe in his division SMW defining fights which boosted his profile and integrity as a truly great fighter,i can guarantee they mean a lot more than bhop does to him..

that and the jones fight are obviously more about money,yes they should have happened a while back but that is the fault of jones/warren etc as much as it is joes!but better late than never!
