I know Calzaghe will never be considered as great as Hopkins all time with credable boxing historians. That is what matters.

If you'd actually seen more than a few Calzaghe fights, you'd know that Joe looked far better against Hopkins, Kessler and Lacy than against Salem or Reid or the like. But you can't understand the truth if you don't know the facts, and I'm afraid you don't know the facts. :deal

There could be several reasons a guy's arms aren't moving and taking advantage of openings. Why would you just assume it's that one?

He looked terrible against Hopkins. Must have been a real horrifying performance against Salem and Reid.

Most definitely. After the Lacy fight, he has slowly been slipping i.e., losing speed.

All anyone needs to do is watch the fight with Lacy, or Eubank, or Mitchell. I think he 'peaked' with the Lacy fight.

With that said; it's a shame he didn't get bigger fights earlier on in his career.

Yes hes still fast, but not as fast as he was. Name me another fighter who kept his peak speed till his late 30's. He's still very good, just not peak.
