Ah, a nutsucking pun. How original! Nice to see the old ad persona arguments are still getting fielded out on here when people can't put forward reasoned arguments.
So what? Your "position" on some internet forum has no bearing on the reason that Hopkins didn't let his hands go. Nor does it justify making a baseless assumption.
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Because Winky, Tarver, and Pavlik didnt design their boxing game to throw a million slaps. So now you are saying a prime Calslappy beats a prime Hopkins? Even though we saw first hand that a fresh hopkins was schooling Calslap around the ring? :rofl Sorry, in his prime Calslappy gets his slapping ass beat by Roy and Hopkins.
Out of all the things to call Joe, this comment is ridiculous....predictable is the one thing most would agree you CAN'T call Calzaghe, he mixes things up, changes tactics midway through fights, makes little adjustements here and there.....he is the boxing equivalent of Jazz as Jim Lampley put it.
Unfocused???:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Ok. He just went in to the biggest fight of his career unfocused why????:blood
So now you are saying a prime Calslappy beats a prime Hopkins? yes. people overlook the fact that joe is far from his prime, but is just ageing better as he wil prove to jones. lol.
over confidence, caught up in the bravado etc..read his interviews and see his previous fights,he was clearly too relaxed going into the fight, hes said it all himself.
^ Unsophisticated argument. It's true that Calzaghe's power isn't what it used to be, since to compensate for his lack of handspeed he has to throw less committed shots. It's also true that Calzaghe chose the right tactic (to outwork Hopkins) as opposed to Winky and Tarver who tried to box with Hopkins. Pavlik of course tried to do what Calzaghe did, but lacks Calzaghe's skilled footwork. Basically you are forced to admit the main thrust of my argument: Calzaghe FORCED Hopkins to run away, clinch like Ruiz and fake low blows. THAT is why Calzaghe is so great. That was Pavlik, not Calzaghe. You clearly got your boxers mixed up. Even though a past his best Calzaghe beat a past his best Hopkins and from that we can rationally work out that a prime Calzaghe would beat a prime Hopkins? The only explanation I can give for your ignorance is that you are lacking in rationality on this issue, either through will or some failure of your intellect. I suspect it is the former.
Reid is BY FAR better then Mitchell and Lacy. And Eubank was past his prime. Reid was an underachiever that fought down to the level of his comp.
Yeah Calslappy is going to prove everyone wrong by facing a Roy Jones Jr who has already been KO'd twice. What did Slappy say in his biography? "I dont wanna fight Roy, been knocked out to much" What happend Slap? :rofl Hopkins KO's Calzaghe 10th round in his prime. Slaps barely worked on a 43 year old Hops, certainly work on Hops in his executioner days.
