Canelo has average power at 154, and below average at 160. At 168, he would be the most most feather fisted fighter competing. If Canelo gets to the point where making 160 gets too strenuous on his body, then he should consider hanging them up. No way way will he be able to compete with the big boys at super middleweight.

 

The advert tells me it's "unparalleled power", you know, like we saw against Matt Hatton. I'm hyped.

 

His power is accentuated by his good timing, so in effect, yes he's a pretty good puncher.

Solid puncher, not a big puncher but solid. Thing is he doesn't have a high work rate or know how to really up the pace of a fight.

Canelo is in no way, shape, or form a puncher. He hasn't KOed any of the top tier opponents he has fought. Kirkland is a Glass Jawed fighter and likely his best stoppage. That isn't saying much.
