All that young power couldn't stop and old man in Shane Mosley. Going 12 rounds with Mathew Hatton isn't a great achievement either.

 

Canelo coudnt even get Cotto to do the drunken pirate. He outweighed Cotto by almost 20 pounds. For his weight Canelo is not a huge puncher.

 

Canelo's power is over rated. Oscar paid the iron chinned Baldomir to take a dive so it would look like Canelo KO'd him with Winning gloves on. Canelo has never shown that type of power in his career. He couldn't KO Angulo. Couldn't KO little Lovemore N'Dou or knock him down, although N'Dou was put on the canvas more than once by Junior Witter. Couldn't drop Old Shane Mosely, although Forrest, and later Pac dropped Mosely. Couldn't put Cotto down, despite landing his best shots. Couldn't even make Cotto dance better than Corely did. Canelo has the power to KO guys with no chin. Even in KO'ing Khan, it was far less impressive than what Prescott did to Khan. Khan was able to eat several flush Canelo power shots. He pretty much got destroyed by the first one that Prescott landed. So yeah, Canelo's power is over rated.
