Canelo looked sensational when he was letting the combos go

    GG had no answer

Too bad for Canelo he let GG off the hook

He'll get it right in the rematch

Alvarez did look good when he unleashed but he didn't do it enough. He wasn't willing to take more risks and for good reason. He fought in spots to try and survive, which he did. He let the judges handle the rest

It wasn't just the number Canelo's power shots were far cleaner and more eye catching and he invariably ended the exchanges on a positive note.

GGG looked lost and scared and whenever Canelo goaded him to the ropes GGG couldn't let his hands go and Canelo would get bored of waiting for a counter and would push him back.

And Triple G didn't even blink and kept making Canelo run like a ***** while out jabbing him.

Canelo's own people were booing him. That's like Christians booing Jesus lol. And the overwhelming consensus is that GGG was robbed. Everywhere I look that's all I'm seeing.

It was impressive to see how comfortable Canelo was while fighting off the ropes. A lot of Triple G fans didn't think he could do that stuff vs G. Even G was smiling when Canelo was doing his thing on the ropes shaking his head. That was entertaining!

The times on the ropes were missed opportunities for GGG in my opinion. Not enough aggression nor enough attention to landing body shots. I think GGG knew and respected Alvarez's ability and power he could generate if he over extended or opened up too much in those positions. He was just looking to score and control where the fight took place...ultimately showing he was in control vs looking to knockout Canelo. Nelo didn't do much on the ropes or when cornered....he slipped and defended most of the offense but ultimately got touched up with the jab or occasional right hand before pushing off or rolling out

There are levels to this game and GGG was a bridge to far even with the deck stacked in his favour

those compubox punch stats are horrendous. According to compubox, GGG landed 15 punches in the first round.
