Khan has turned himself into a laughing stock over the last few weeks. The things he has claimed over the last few months are beyond delusional.

After getting blitzed by Garcia he has done virtually nothing to earn a world title shot at welterweight but was offered one and a very large payday, didn't want it, wanted the battered and bruised LWW, non punching Algieri and that was so shocking even the TV networks are passing on it.

Now it is being claimed Khan turned down a Bradley fight, Khan is also back tracking on Algieri saying nothing is certain even though he made a video announcing it and claiming Algieri "just fell short against Pacquiao", the rubbish he dribbles is embarrassing.

Khan makes himself look a fool, nobody is disrespecting him but he is disrespecting the intelligence of boxing fans and more importantly his own fans.

Mayweather has done a number on Khan's career without throwing a punch in anger.
Mayweather is ruining Khan. Khan was calling out Mayweather, Mayweather sort of played along, used Khan as a bargining tool for other potential fights while Khan sat there for a year doing nothing while Mayweather has gone on to sign a history making mega money fight with Pacquiao and Khan is talking up Algieri and doing his best to stop his reputation being shot to pieces.

Khan is bringing all this on himself, has nobody to blame but himself. Boxing fans who dislike Khan must be loving this completely embarrassing shambles.

Take it that he is a not a backward burka bomb loving kham fanboy but actually a normal person with common sense who can see things as they are.

I have said within the last year Khan would beat Brook on points, that prediction has changed for me now but it was not anti Khan and pro Brook, just had to point that out because for some reason on these boards if you say anything negative about anybody you must be a rival supporter and just having a pop for the sake of it.

Never been what you would call a Khan fan and on the flip side wasn't anti Khan but Yes I have turned on Amir somewhat over the last year because he is simply taking the **** out of anybody with half a brain cell. The constant contradictions and blatant rubbish he talks has to stop now, I am all for self promotion and squeezing every penny you can get out of a tough sport but he has taken it to a new level.

I think Khan is bordering on Audley Harrison delusional now, forget what he has won at the lower weight for a minute and think of where he is right now, what he thinks his own image is in boxing and what he believes he is entitled to... Even old Audly wasn't that messed up.

Wow two rants in a row, Khan has really got under my skin recently :rofl

I didn't mean to have a pop at you - you post was good and not biased - I was just impressed by the rant!

You're right of course - he is delusional, no doubt about that, and he is, or perhaps more accurately, his advisers are, blatantly cherry picking his opponents.

To me all the flip flopping and bull$hit are just a sign of the times. Fighters get away with avoiding the hardest fights because they are able to match-make their way to the most lucrative fights by picking beatable opponents, which is what Khan is doing now (he is treading water for the Mayweather bingo fight). The governance of boxing is that shocking and the fans that desperate for fights that they get away with it.

Other fighters do this too (think Cotto/Golovkin and Quillin/Korobov), but the difference with Khan is that he is systematically destroying his credibility with the boxing public in the process

Mind you, that might not matter. Indeed it may be just more grist to the mill. Mayweather has made millions by trading on being hated and milking the desire to see him beaten. Khan could just be doing the same. Fighters don't need to be Mr Likeable/Popular, like Hatton, to make serious bunce in this game.

Didn't take it as a pop mate, just making sure anybody who reads that post or others I might make about Khan understands I'm not some Brook fan digging Khan out just for the sake of it. I wouldn't regard myself as a Brook fan either for what it's worth.

I agree with you, happens all the time and it is nothing new, boxing has been pulling this kind of rubbish for years.

I am just getting sick of Khan and his delusional ramblings and also I am getting rather sick of interviewers not pulling him up sharp for some of the outrageous contradictions he serves up.

You make a good point about his advisors, if they have a major say in what he does, it can't fill Khan with confidence that they want him nowhere near anybody with a half decent dig. Of course advisors are there to make him money, themselves money for the least risk, I honestly understand that but when they are trying to serve up Algieri after Pacquiao has just destroyed him and telling boxing fans its a "tough fight" after banging on for 18 months about fighting the elite welterweights it is about time boxing fans and even Khan fans say "enough is enough" or this sort of rubbish will just continue unchallenged.

If major networks have turned this down then something is wrong, I mean they have given us some awful fights over the years but even they are not stupid enough to try and force this on the paying public.

So we could have Brook Vs Frankie Gavin and Khan Vs Algieri...even though they are not confirmed I personally think Khan Vs Algieri will be and Brook Vs Gavin makes sense to nobody else but Hearn, did Hearn miss Gavin's last fight? I thought he was ringside. Awful for British boxing.

What have any of us done to deserve that?

Khan actually thought beating old, recovering alcoholic Collazo and blown-up 140-lber Alexander, who had already lost his title, would get him a shot at Floyd.

Not only is Khan delusional, but he's also not very smart.

And people call you racist for not liking Khan. It wouldn't matter if Khan were white, black, or green with purple polka dots, I would still dislike him because he's arrogant and delusional.

Both kahn and brook are talented and imo could beat most of the top ww out there but in modern times promoters dont like making dangerous or risky fights even against top fighters as losses are counted against a fighter so harshly now. Fans and media berate a fighter even is he losses a close fight against a top fighter. A loss can ruin a fighters standing and perception.
Sad as khan and brook are both very good

People saying Khan is delusional for thinking he can get Pac or May yet it was Pacquaio before the meeting he had with mayweather during the Miami game invited Khan to London for some talks about a potential fight if Mayweather fight fell through. We all know how close AMir has been to getting the floyd fight now, he's been given contracts to sign by Floyd, he was in a poll set up by Floyd for his next fight, he didn't fight alexander because Al Haymon advised him that he was really close to fighting Floyd etc etc. It doesn't matter who he fights next, because if either of pac or May fight again post May then Khan is likely to be next for either one of them, he still brings the most money.

VG_Addict you don't like Khan because he's arrogant yet you love Floyd, the irony is strong here.

Floyd was playing him, Khan needs to fire Al haymon for ducking the Alexander fight as just about all of floyds recent opponents have had a strong win/belts before fighting him whereas Khan doesnt have either so despite whatever haymon tells him floyd won't have any interest in him as he brings absolutely nothing to the table. As for arrogance, mayweather has earnt the right to have arrogance, Khan is just an idiot with some of his comments (people in America saying the winner of mayweather pacquaio will fight him when just about all of them are saying he should fight brook), trying to justify the brook duck (such as the laughable comment about not fighting kell now as it could be a $100m fight) and of course how it will only get bigger if kell fights the 'top guys', yet he can fight the likes of algieri and shot guys/blown up LWWs who can't punch for 3+ years and still thinks he will be the A side and that he will be the big draw, despite them literally having to give away tickets for the Diaz and Alexander fights and it was at best half full. The man quite simply is an utter embarrassment who shouldn't be allowed a Twitter account and should only speak in public when he's got at least two people to stop his bad case of verbal diarrhoea

Sooner team Khan get this they'll get some credibility, until then it's
levels of delusion that would embarrass audley Harrison.
