5 title belts in four weightclasses, wins over Judah, Mosley, Clottey, Margarito and Martinez, and he gave 5 some-time worldtitle-holders their first loss (17-0 Maussa, 28-0 Torres, 21-0 Malignaggi, 23-0 Quintana and 28-0 Foreman). Add to that the amount of excitement and action-packed fights he's delivered and the fact that he's always been willing to face anybody out there, fuk the risks involved. Oughtta do it, nay?

He's going to Canasota without question. If anyone doubted that before last night, they can't anymore.

According to Michael Buffer, he was a future HOFer even before this fight lol.

Buffer is prone to hyperbolic tendencies to make the fight he's announcing seem bigger then it already is. But to be fair, most ppl already regarded Cotto a 'likely' or 'probable' hof'er before this fight. I just think that this one gets him over the hump definitively.

But here's my problem with using this fight to get him over the hump definitively. Anyone in the middleweight division could have been Martinez tonight. Anyone!!! Cotto did what he had to do, but Cotto didn't have to do anything impressive to win this fight. To use this fight as the one fight to get him over the hump into the HOF definitively is ridiculous. He was fighting a punching bag!

i try to use your logic.

Pacquaio beat drained Cotto at 145 pounds,as we have clearly seen Cotto natural weighclass is 154-160 pounds.Mayweather beat Cotto in his own weighclass.

Pacquaio has did this before, against de la hoya.Pacquaio only fight HOF fighters who are drained and forced to come ring looking like aliens.

kidding aside, this night belongs to Miguel Cotto, those two *****cats Floyd and Manny could learn something from Cotto.

He was already going but with this win hes most likely a first ballot inductee.

    What an era we've had

    Cotto
    Mayweather
    Pacquiao
    Morales
    Marquez
    Paul Williams
    Margarito

Arguably the greatest decades for the 140-147

No way Robinson would get throught this lineup unbeaten

I think 'anyone' in the middleweight division is a stretch, but regardless, COTTO WASN'T IN THE MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION! C'mon dude, the guy is undersized at 154, he is far from a legit middleweight. And no matter how shot Sergio was, Mayweather and Pacquiao were on no hurry to risk facing him. Was this enough to make Cotto a hof'er by itself? No, but Cotto was already on the borderline. Which is why i used the term 'over the hump'. He only needed that last little push imo, and this was it.

    Cottons got solid wins

    Marg
    Serg
Moseley- when mosely was still good
    Clottey

    Crazy run at 140

And he gave pacquiao and mayweather really really tough fights

If he isn't in the HOF then no one should be
