Seriously what is the point of this? Sergio always comes in at 158-159 anyway.

    Useless catch weight

I agree very weak either 160 or demand a 155 catch weight...If you are going to play wuss you might as well make it count

A fight at 159 would be middle weight as anything above 154 is the middle weight division. Its not that big of a deal.

Sergio said Cotto was a prima donna asking for all kinds of bull****. 159 catchweight, name first on marquee, coming into the ring second, what color corner he wanted, etc. Sergio just told his people to agree to all of it and he was going to go and knock Cotto out.

    Gotta admire his attitude.

Cotto had a great warrior reputation with fans, including me.

But this isn't the first I've heard if this, I hear he is very arrogant and hard to negotiate with.

like I said, 160 is just the limit you can weigh. 155-160 is middle weight . If Martinez isnt completely shot, Cottos going to get his ass kicked so that 16 ounces wont make a difference.

Bernard came in under oscar just to prove a point. Watch Martinez do the same thing. Would be pretty funny

In his defense, just about every big fighter asks for these kinds of things, at least to start off negotiations. A fighter's advisers are often the ones who push for this kind of thing, to make it look to their boss like they've won some kind of amazing negotiating victory and earned their hefty fees. I don't think less of any fighter for asking for this kind of stuff.

What's a little strange about Cotto, I think, is that in interviews he talks about himself in the third person. I'm not sure what that's about. But I have a relative who works at Madison Square Garden and she said he's always a nice guy to everybody there.

No, it's the LIMIT. 160 is the limit for middle weight.
