chavez jr cuts 20+ for every fight and still wins his fights. Peterson cut 15 pounds and beat Khan. Give me a break people will hate for Ward no matter what.

Fighters reside in a particular weight class for a reason. Ward turned down 170lbs for a reason.I don't think Dawson beats Ward even if he's at 175, but acting like pulling a fighter down to 168 isn't going to have an impact is lunacy.

It all depends on body structure and type. Chavez is a little softer and less muscular than Dawson so cutting weight doesn't have a major effect on him as Dawson is more leaner and has less fat. I tried break it down a simple as possible without going into endo, ecto, and mesomorphic explanation and a individuals metabolism. A lot of ******s here thinks cutting weight and rehydrating 10 pounds has no effect. Yeah lose 15 pounds 5 of which could be muscle and gain back 12 in liquids in less than 24 hours and have no Ill effects. I personally wish there was a 2 hour weigh in.

What are the odds, if I search through the OPs posting history, I will find Pacquiao catchweight jokes aplenty?

No hate on Ward from me, but to act like Chad wasn't affected by the weight is just stupid. Since when has Dawson been so chinny?

Ok .... So you want everyone to give credit to ward for beating Dawson,Correct? Well how about you give Edison Miranda some credit for knocking Chad out in a sparring first. That's right Wards greatest victory came off a guy knocked out by a journeyman with pillow gloves on ,just prior to their fight. Dawson was drained.Deal with it.

    :patsch

The Margarito fight at the very least was fought at the weight class he currently resided in, not the one below. And Cotto weighed in at 146 the fight for Clottey before fighting Manny the next fight dropping ONE POUND.

Do I agree with this stupid catchweight bull****? No, but kindly **** off in pretending what Ward did with Dawson is different.

Every fighter cuts weight, well over 1 pound. Most guys fight a division or two below there actual walk around weight. People need to put the pipe down and get ****ing real . If there's actual 'weight draining' happening, it's usually noticeable in the fight. You can see it in a fighters body, and there stamina can be affected. There were no signs of that in Chad Dawson, at least not to my eye. He lost fair and square - a fight / weight he agreed to. A few extra pounds wouldn't have made a bit of difference, he was getting totally outboxed. Deal with it and move on.
