Russ is way too public with his comments.

BTW I saw Russ Anber working in Martinez' corner against Barker. Anyone else notice that?

I believe anber 100% ... David looks like he's not completely dedicated and willing to do what it takes to become top-tier elite.

That and the fact he has T-REX arms... :dance

Amber is right to drop any boxer who isn't 100% dedicated. And it sounds like Lemieux hasn't learned his lesson unfortunately.

Whoa, that's bad news. Anber had a good vision of Lemieux's future. I was really hoping David would develope into a great champ, now I'm concerned...

    I did actually notice that.

And this isn't good for David. I like RUs, he's helped me with boxing also :D

But based off these comments, it sounds like David's not focused enough

Good eyes was not sure if it was him myself.

Russ Anber is not the kind of trainer I like. Something about his personality seems fake to me.

I did as well, but even before that, I had noticed that Martinez had the Anber Rival logo on his robe or trunks. Then I noticed Russ was working his corner.

    so who dumped who?

I respect any trainer that dumps a fighter that generates a lot of money because the fighter isnt dedicated enough.

It just seems like trainers today arent worried about the fighters' health or commitment to the sport but rather which fighter would make them the most money for just babbling advice in the corner for one night.

    just use google translate...

RA dumped Lemieux... I don't get it exactly, even a half hearted Lemieux is better than 95% of the boxers out there... Who else does Russ Anber trains which has so much potential?

Ok well if he trains Ali Mansour... No wait, who the hell is Ali Mansour? What is there to gain by dumping Lemieux? Nothing for Anber... By sticking with Lemieux, Lemieux could have turned things around... I don't know... WEird.

Yeah... Article says he started training him since he was 9... dumping him now seems very weird... :?

Good thing for Anber. Bad thing for Lemieux. Ramsay is a good coach but he lets his boxers do what they want. For years, Pascal did not train properly and did not listen to him. Pascal was counting on his athletics abilities to win. Until he lost to Froch. It seems that even the loss against Rubio is not a big enough wake up call for Lemieux. Now I'm worried for his career.

Anber is doing that for Lemieux, not for himself. He must hope that will shake Lemieux and make him change. They were like father and son for the last 13 years and Lemieux is only 22.
