I fear for his well-being. I hope he calls it a day.

This fight STANK, one of the worst I've ever seen. I don't remember seeing Mercer in any trouble at any point so don't know what that report was talking about. He knocked Rossy down with 30 seconds to go but that looked more a balance thing.
Every round was the same, Mercer plodding after Rossy, throwing 2-3 punches a round. Rossy just picked him off with small flurries and then got moving again. Mercer waved him in and invited Rossy free shots, but the latter had no interest.

The arena was about 1/5 full max, and Mercer in particular got a deal of abuse from people who had paid for what was adversited as 'p4p world best boxing' . The event shot itself in the foot, and does not bode well for future cards in Macau. The undercard was pretty dog**** too

I always fellt Mercer wasn't the brightest bulb in the box. He pissed his prime years with inactvity and laziness. Laziness being the real career killer. Losing to Jesse Ferguson and an old Larry Holmes cost him a fortune and the reason he lost was due to him being so out of shape. What a moron! When in shape and inspired he could compete with anyone, like the Holyfield and Lewis fights. Ray is basically ****ed financially now and its nobody's fault but his.

He made $1million from the Holmes fight, thats why he dropped the WBO belt to take that fight.
