Was watching the fight today and heard Jim Lampley ripping Calzaghe for toying to RJJ in the ring. I for one, am a huge RJJ fan, roids or not. He was one of the best ever.

But plain and simple; Did anyone truly feel sorry for RJJ after he made a career of clowning people in the ring?

At first I did because it was embarrassing, but realized it would be somewhat hypocritical.

Did you feel sorry for Jeff Lacy when Jones was dancing in the ring while putting on a ass beating?

I mean I feel sorry for anyone who is getting clowned while getting owned. I meant because RJJ did it to others a lot, do people feel sorry?

No, and why should anyone? Did YOU feel sorry for the off-duty police officers and cab drivers that Glass Jaw Roy clowned?

Nope, Roy done the same to countless other fighters that were not on his level and people loved him for it. He got some of his own medicine that night and although i do not hate Jones i certainly chuckled a little bit just because of the Irony of the situation, knowing how pissed off people would be at Joe's actions.

As a jones fan - I enjoyed watching JC showboat - he could have easily but bigger beating on Jones, I remember in 1 round he hurt him and JC started showboating instead of really going for the kill, if someone did now I would feel sorry for him but around 07 - in Tito and JC fight RJ adjusted his style and used a guards up defence and still had hand speed and foot speed (no at its best, but still faster than majority) - he still got back into a contender position

I lost my a lot of my healthy respect for Roy when he celebrated lasting the distance with Tarver like he'd just unified the HW belt.
A sad sight.Almost as bad as rappin in Russia.

I thought Calzaghe was the GOAT when I watched it live and had out of this world like reflexes, then I watched a Roy Jones highlight vid.

What goes around comes around. I can't remember the fight (maybe Brannon?) but after scoring a knockdown Roy started gyrating his hips in the corner and generally acting like a tool.

I felt more sorry for him when he had to be scraped off the canvas after getting pancaked by a fighter who wouldn't have won a round against him in his prime.

I think Joe could have stopped him if he wanted to, that would have been worse to watch. Ultimately what goes around comes around, if you enjoyed watching Roy clowning cab drivers and postmen in his prime, then you can't blame Calzaghe.

Did Jones not start showboating a bit when he knocked Calzaghe down in the first round?

**** no, nobody should have felt sorry for him.

Calzaghe wouldn't have been showboating with a prime Jones though
