So, did Jermain get robbed in his rematch w/ Pavlik?

It wasn't a robbery, but I did think Jermaine won it.

Looked like a clear Pavlick win to me. Taylor improved on his previous result against Kelly, but it appeared that everything Taylor did Pavlick did better.
You can forgive a die hard Taylor fan for seeing Jermains effort through rose colored glasses, though.

I actually thought Pavlik looked pretty lackluster in the second fight. He got hit a Lot (I watched the fight three times). Not that Taylor didn't get hit too, but the second fight was a close one. Pavlik just had the conditioning to outlast Taylor into the last two rounds.

I had it 115-113 for Pavlik, I think it was a close decision that it could have been for Taylor, but he didn't do enough work to earn it. In boxing the more agressive boxer win, Pavlik was the agressor that night, although Taylor did some good counter punching.

To be honest I was more impressed with Taylor than with Pavlik. JT fought what was arguably the best fight of his career. Pavlik had an off night, and also injured both hands. The official score cards read 115-113, 116-112, 117-111. I had it 116-112, and so did my brother-in-law. I've watched that fight 3 times, and I would not argue with anyone who had it 115-113 or 117-111. There were a lot of close rounds, but Pavlik was clearly The Boss through out the fight.

Punch stats can be very misleading. I love it when they say someone landed 25 POWER SHOTS in a round.

i had it 5-5 after 10 and i thought kelly showed the greater will to win/drive and ambition and pulled out the last 2 rounds big when he needed to , to show he is a very good championship fighter willing to lay it all on the line.

but i new that already when he walked through miranda.

The right decision was made. Jermain looked as if he didnt wanna take any risks at the end.

LOL he didn't get robbed of anything he got outworked.

115-113 Pavlik at worst, can't see how people had Taylor winning either.
