I mean whats really going on here???

Marquez said he didnt want to fight Ruslan because it does nothing for his legacy....WHAT THE HELL DOES ALVARADO DO FOR IT???

It just caught me off guard and i really dont understand. I didnt want to say duck because thats a big word thrown around alot and Marquez was never obligated to fight Ruslan or it hasnt been talked about forever so i cant call it a duck. But whats the point of fighting Alavarado expect for some money thats not alot?

    Im not getting Marquez.....

Well, Marquez is tied to Pacquiao forever. Hell, he wrote a book titled something like "I Beat Pacquiao Three Times!" By: JMM.

Pacquiao made his comeback against Rios.

Going into that, Rios had just been defeated by Alvarado...

So it's the whole Provodnikov > Alvarado > Rios thing.

    It's a duck.

Juan Manuel Marquez is one of the most liked and respected fighters in the game so many will try to defend or rationalize his decision but to the neutral observer this is a duck.

Thats a big word. he should fight the winner of that fight which was Ruslan but Pac fought the loser in Rios and nobody said he was ducking Alavarado.

So i wouldnt say duck but Marquez cant say Ruslan does nothing for his legacy then fight Alavarado, thats pretty lame

We were talking about Pac picking the lesser Rios over Ruslan. Try to keep up ****.

No clearer sign of a ****** than when he automatically throws out the word ***** the minute his own logic is thrown back on his face:lol:

honestly at this stage in his carrer he can fight whoever he wants. Alvarado fight is actually a really good fan friendly fight, still very risky for JMM, only problem is he stepped on his tongue by saying a provo fight wasnt gonna build his legacy and he wasnt gonna be a stepping stone for anyone but now he decides to fight the guy who provo stopped in a grueling fight..

other then that im all for the fight. gonna be a war !!

Who would want to fight a guy like Alvarado when you dont need to? JMM doesn't do too well against guys who come at him like that, look at Juan Diaz who forced JMM into a rematch, Katsidis who is 10 leagues below Prov who took JMM to war.

At this stage in his career, JMM don't need that kind of war.
