Instead of remembering Vitali for quitting against Byrd, why not remember him for all the quality, in-shape, active, contenders that he beat?

    Guys like........................................................................................................................................................oh wait. Nevermind.

    Indeed.

It's just humorous when Vitali's groupies say stuff like "the loss doesn't count because he got injured!!"

Ummm...being durable enough to finish the bout is part of being a boxer.

I dont know how bad it was, but you cannot lift your arm to the side. It depends on which muscles are torn. The rotator cuff are 4 muscles. Injuries here are known to hurt like hell, plus, like i said, several movements are limited or totally impossible. I remember Klitschko saying it felt like beeing shot. Dont know if hes been shot though :)

I tore a muscle in my shoulder during training and let me tell you something once you hurt your shoulder real bad you can't use it. You have to try to win with one arm. When you got someone kicking and punching you it's very difficult.

What does that have to do with anything at all with Vitali groupies claiming injuries doesn't mean he lost?

Golota didn't have a problem fighting the same opponent with the same injury.

I ****ed up my rotator cuff in the 7th grade trying to show off by picking up the heaviest shot put i can find and hucking it as hard as i could with no warm-up or stretching.

Never went to the doctor for it but i couldnt make a normal throwing motion(like a pitcher) for the rest of the school year.

Golota tweaked his shoulder i dont think he had a full rotator cuff injury.

Most people take a day off at work if they have a cold... and yet people think Vitali is a sissy for quiting a job that can get you killed when his shoulder was brutally screwed. What a joke.

He was throwing punches with that arm right up to the stoppage.

The Klitites go on about how he had the injury for 3 rounds before quitting.

Something isn't adding up here.... :think

First, Vitali was using it, so I guess by your reasoning it must have been a fairly minor tear.

Second, he didn't even have to try to win. He was so far ahead he only had to survive to get the win.

Third, REAL fighters like Holyfield fought on anyway even though the win wasn't guaranteed. They fought on because that's what a fighter does.

You keep saying that, but you have yet to say how serious his injury was.

BTW did you catch Hard Knock at 1AM?
