Nah this is all just theatre,I’ve said for ages now not to get sucked into this public negotiation thing as it’s all a ploy to hype up the eventual fight which isn’t gonna happen this year anyway.
Believe me both parties are in on this I reckon

Depends whether you're a Wilder or AJ fan.

But it doesn't look good when you're willing to take a voluntary (at this stage he is) for $2 million, rather than try and become undisputed for $12 million +.

No more than AJ ducked Wilder. If they fight in the next 12 months, I'll be satisfied. If not, I'll evaluate then as to whose fault it is.

I consider myself a 'fan' of Wilder but I cant really defend not accepting a payday thats roughly 5 times more than what youll make if you dont take it, and magnitudes higher than you usually make, especially when you are the clear clear B side in both accomplishments, and economically.

So if Wilder doesnt wind up taking the fight, I will be disappointed and couldnt really argue against people saying he swerved the fight.

Im hoping they wind up accepting and that we get this blockbuster matchup.

If its true Wilder has penciled in Brazeale, yes.

He has gone awfully quiet hasn't he?

Wait for him calling out AJ again at a presser vs Dominic saying stuff like "baddest man on planet" "Hearnz scared" "AJ a coward" "They don't want no smoke" and the usual garbage.

Wilder acknowledged the upper hand to Joshua and ceded the normal stumbling blocks such as home turf…Then Joshua got all diva about Wilder entering the ring after the Parker fight, Wilder got all diva about that, promoting their potential mega fight be damned…and then Team AJ sent an insulting, I’m only wasting your time, stupid offer…

All Joshua had to do was make a reasonable $ amount, doesn’t appear he wants the fight, the late disingenuous theatrics are just that. But as long as people are willing to support and justify the HW champ ducking their most dangerous challenger(s?), more power to him…more $ anyway…

I just want to see the fight, still have some hope it gets done…I’m not really into the ego driven back and forth outside the ring diva fest that is likely to ensue…

Wilder has been offered millions for a fight. Wilder has been planing on fight Breazeale for a long time now, Breazeale is owned by Haymon, will take a dive if needed, Joshua has already very easily knocked out Breazeale. Wilder does not want to fight Joshua period! Not for any amount of money.....................

Ive felt Wilder is just too full of himself and he just really over values himself rather than being a ducker, this fight not getting made is down to his greed, Hearns offer was not a take this or go away offer it was there to negotiated like offers usually are but Wilder and his managers have gone away. Its his managment, to them this is a possible cash out, they have steered him away from danger his entire career, only risky fights he could of had or has had is when they have been forced into a corner. The networks pretty much forced that Ortiz fight and thats it really, thats his risky one. Povetkin shoulda been a risky one but they got out of that one.

I will add i dont think there is a professional heavyweight on the planet that wouldnt of taken Hearns offer of a significant highest payday, rematch clause and the chance to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Most would take it, Team Wilder wouldnt even respond to it. I think the blame can be placed on 38 people. 1, Deontay Wilder, he can push for this if he wanted to, 2 Louis Ortiz, he shouldnt of rocked Wilder in the 7th and put the fear of god in to Wilders 36 managers. Who happen to be the other 36 reasons this fight is not getting made. They just want Wilders easy money.

Another thing i dont get, how is it so hard for his 36 managers to take in a fair split against A side Anthony when Wilder has been giving his opponants somewhere around a 10% split of his fights, cuz he is the A side. They been playing the same game they should know the score by now.

sounds like wilder / finkel/ haymon used joshuas name to make a name for themselves by purely ducking aj.....i thought wilder wasnt inerested in the $$$$ i thought he was in it for his legacy...? deontay wilder is a fraud ....turns down 12.5 million to fight breazele for probably around 2 million .....horrible managment....remember alex garcia ??? .....and after breazele he will have to fight his mandatory mr whyte (a hearns fighter ) and he wont get anything like 12.5 million from hearns for fighting whyte ......what is wilder doing cause its stinking up boxing ..

And when Whyte becomes the mando and it has to happen Winkle, Haymon and Dibella will be rubbing their hands at the 4 or 7 million that Hearn and Whyte were offering. Well that money has gone now, they are guna get bare minimum for this. They could of done it for 4, they could of done it for 7 but within a year this is guna be a forced fight and they will be lucky to get 2.

I think it's too early to say for sure if they have ducked the fight. But it doesn't look good right now. They suddenly went from being very vocal to very quiet all of a sudden. The fact a counter offer was not made as anticipated and that the rumours of Breazeale looking to be next seem to be more likely now definitely puts doubt to how much Wilder's side wants the fight.

Maybe it is a drawn out plan to build the fight as Andrew Angler suggested I thought the same not so long ago. The plan has always been from Hearn to have the fight in late 2018 and it seemed like that's what would happen but then Hearn changed his tune and made the offer when no offer before had been forth coming.

With Povetkin being named mandatory too, scuppers Hearn's original plan to have AJ fight in the US vs Miller. Povetkin maybe a bigger name than Miller but an American fighting for the heavyweight title will always garner more interest than a non American like Povetkin.

So whether it happens now or in late 2018 I don't think it effects revenue at all because Hearn won't be able to build Joshua's profile with a fight in the US like he planned too. So I do think Hearn is trying to make the fight now if possible before too many mandatory's line up and Joshua is forced to vacate a belt.

If that were the case the flat fee offer would be a genius way of delaying with each side keeping a shred of dignity. It's big enough that AJ's fans can point at it and say, 'just take the fight and beat him twice and get $40m in the process' whilst Wilder's fans can say 'No big fight takes place with a flat fee. No percentage, no deal'

It will be hilarious if Breazeale knocks Wilder out. He can kiss goodbye to an 8-figure payday then. Wilder and his management are utter fools. You only have to look at his track record to see that. Wlad is better known in the US than Wilder.
