  1. Team Martinez duckin' GGG. They ducked Pirog, too.

    Yeah there is a whole in the argument, but I'll give them this. Sergio is a bigger name now than when he got those fights.

    Macklin and Barker brought tv money and sold tickets.

    GGG brings Borat and his bear.

    Matthew Macklin fight was during Saint Patrick's weekend was it not? Large number of Irish Americans either way.

    Barker and Dzinzurik are around about Golovkin level when it comes to selling fights though.

    Macklin was just off the back of being robbed by Sturm. It should have been a unification fight.

    Dzinziruk was a champion at 154 with 6 defences under his belt and undefeated.

    Barker.............No arguments there. Golovkin is far more proven now than Barker was when he fought Martinez.

    It's all about risk reward. Martinez is no different. Golovkin is high risk low reward. Barker was low risk low reward.

    It ain't right but that's the world of boxing we live in. I'm a big GGG fan and would love to see the fight.

    So what?

    Martinez is 37 and JUST got his shot. He's been fighting basically all comers from his first fight and is finally getting the spotlight. Let the man earn the paydays he's due.

    Also, in comparison to other elite fighters (Floyd/Manny namely), Martinez is hardly ducking anyone. Floyd/Manny have ducked/dodged their way to "fame." Martinez fought his way to fame and his finally earned his shot at a big payday.

    yeah this is the simplest and most accurate way to describe the situation. It's not like Martinez is avoiding a career defining fight either as Golovkin is still unproven commodity

    It's a simple answer. Yes, they are. Not in hype, but in name. Golovkin doesn't even have hometown fans.

    GGG= big risk, little reward.

    Think like a business man. If GGG brought in the money his ability should I'm sure Martinez would have no qualms fighting him

    one thing i dont understand is, ok ggg maybe a bigger name than those guys (making this assumption) but why risk it against a fighter who is very dangerous.....stop shitting on fighters its a business

    sht like this pisses me off! so just shut it man
