So Dinziruk, Barker, and Macklin are bigger names than GGG?????

Who had a better resume at that point in time and what would a better list be? Both sites have had consistently better ratings than The Ring for that division.

Best wins: close decisions over Santos and Joel Julio. More importantly, had not fought a warm body in 2+ years, only 1 Aussie clubfighter

Who had better wins in that division? Top contenders haven't been fighting each other for years there, and wins over Santos and Julio were more impressive than anything anyone else had done.

Dzinziruk had only one fight between 2008 and the time he fought Martinez. He never beat anyone elite in his entire career. I guess that makes him the rightful #1 at 154.

That's boxing today as a whole, unfortunately. It makes compiling Top 10 divisional ratings almost a bit of stretch and is based more on perceived ability and guesswork than what's been accomplished in the ring.

Dude, you're arguing against a brick wall. He'll trump up all of Martinez's opponents to be more than they are to make Martinez's resume @ MW look ATG level.

I'd say that description applies more to you and your persistent efforts to call guys duckers. I've never claimed Martinez was ATG-level.

I don't know, but most rankings will have you out if you don't fight for a year.

Sounds like what's done for a lot of pre-1970s fighters who aren't analyzed and critiqued under a microscopic lens. Oh yes, Money is a victim too my friend

That's purely a convention of The Ring and one I've never felt should be as religiously followed as others do. I'm also less inclined to push a guy out since he had legitimate contract problems which largely accounted for his inactivity.

Martinez has been ducking Golovkin for weeks. Funny two days ago, until DiBella went on a profanity-laced tirade.

It's not only that, a lot can happen in 1 year. Or 2+ years since Dz had fought a live body. For example, Dz was a decent/good fight for p4p SM, then 1.5 years later we saw a shot fighter.

After the Jr fight he's a star. So now I understand the high risk low reward talk, cause before he was taking them and those euros could have upset him.
