So, does anyone else think the days of Victor Ortiz and the big fights are over?

I do. His poor performance against Mayweather and his in ring melt down and foul have made him "except with the diehard Ortiz fan" a non-factor in his division. His paper heart has been for ever shredded. His lies have been stacked upon other lies and his story and fake past life are being exsposed. I think his big paydays are behind him.

He can probably still get some semi-big fights on HBO for nice paydays. Maybe a Berto rematch.

There's only 2 fighters right now that give mega paydays. So if he doesn't fight the other guy then you're right.

At this point, I don't think Rios feels Ortiz is worth his time.

Victor is a good fighter, he'll pick up some nice paychecks. He won't be a superstar though, he doesn't want it enoug.,

Ortiz is a one hit wonder.A lucky win over Berto and he cashed in his chips. If he plays his cards right he will get blasted out one more time in a money fight and then sink into the sunset.

Anybody that would willingly pay for any future Oritz fight is an idiot. Mayweather knew he was a head case and he's a bigger head case now... :smoke

One or two fights left against Berto/Cotto/Alexander caliber fighters and then he will be relegated to gatekeeper.

He'll get another chance to shine, though never again in an event as big as the Mayweather fight.
