So does everyone still think that Eubank would beat BJS in a rematch?

Billy was sensational last night, maybe the performance of the year? Has to be right up there with Mikey Garcia vs Zlaticinan.

Much more impressive IMO than Eubank's wins of late, Lemieux is no Renold Quinlan or Avni Yilidirim and also Billy travelled into his opponents back yard and schooled him in front of his own fans.

The new Ingle trained BJS and improved gas tank I think would once again be too much for the 1-dimensional Eubank.

    Thoughts?

I've always believed that the best BJS beats the best CEJ.

At 160 BJS all day....obviously 168 could be different regarding Saunders at that weight but imo CEJ is still the same fighter from their first fight, if he's not then I'll admit that I was wrong but we will find out in his first test since Saunders when he fights GG.

Jnr hasn't got it in him to beat Bill

Jnr is incredibly fit, and puts his shots together well and all that and is aggressive, but he isn't of the level to beat Bill, Bill would beat him again

BJS has been boxing his whole life since he was a small child. You cannot buy that.
Eubank just isn't as anywhere experienced . Even though his improvement curve has been very sharp you can't build those early days now . Only chance cej had was lack of commitment on bjs part. But few shoddy performances and bjs sorting himself out. I don't give Eubank much chance. He would win few rounds through work and thats it. Doesn't have equal skill set when equal fitness

Eubank would put bjs under much more intense pressure than the slow short reach DL last night. The amount of running and ducking and diving Billy would have to do and the amount of mileage he would have to run up on his boxing boots might exhaust him...and then he would be ravaged by Eubank.

CEJ is a lot better athlete than DL ...and prob than bjs too....

"At what weight?" is a key question for a Saunders-Eubank rematch. Eubank is physically the bigger man and stands a better chance at 168 than 160.

I don't think Eubank ever quite figured Saunders out in their fight - his later rounds rally was more down to Saunders tiring and Eubank throwing everything, rather than getting the angles and timing sorted.

Along with being difficult to catch clean, Saunders seems to have a good chin and Eubank is generally not a one-punch KO threat. I can't see Eubank ever outboxing Saunders, so it comes down to whether the skill/style disadvantage can be offset by the bigger guy with the bigger engine. That's probably a small chance at 160 with a fit and motivated Saunders, but obviously the odds get better if Saunders is in poor shape and Eubank can bring an extra 5-10lbs of natural size to the ring on fight night.

If Saunders wants the fight, as much as I hate the premise he should push for a catchweight and rehydration clause. If Eubank is coming off a win over Groves though he's probably bringing a lot more star power to the table which may make negotiations difficult.

Only idiots believe Eubank is anywhere near BJS class.

It would be a great fight. Before last night I'd have favoured Eubank, no question, as Saunders has been so poor recently.

Pretty much 50/50 fight for me after last nights performance.

BJS in the physical and mental shape he was in last night would school Jnr.

Jnr would show more intensity than Lem but BJS would deal with it for a wide UD at either MW or SMW

Last night only enhanced Jr's resume. If BJS sticks to the game plan no way Jr can beat him. If Jr can somehow get underneath his skin things could get interesting. With Ingle on board BJS looks much more focused.

BJS is someone who often cuts corners in training and can perform down to the level of his opponent if he doesn't rate them. He wouldn't make that mistake in the rematch and would win by a shutout.

This version of BJS (better attitude and stamina) totally and utterly outboxes Eubank at both 160 and 168. They are levels apart, it would be a whitewash.

Eubank Jn likes his opponents to be come forward plodders so he can throw his flurries. When he’s matched this way, he is exceptional to watch. It comes across like I don’t like him or rate him but I genuinely do. He’s fantastic to watch. But, like I keep saying, a boxer with quality footwork is a nightmare for him and there is not a chance that Eubank will fight BJS now.
