So does everyone still think that Eubank would beat BJS in a rematch?

No I don't really think so because I don't think Billy will stay on the ropes and try to bait him in.
Billy will simply out class him from range with his movement, he will be too slippery.

You can't beat speed, I don't care how good you are at cutting of the ring if the difference is that big its impossible.
GGG had proven in the last 2 fights he doesn't have the best out put over 12 rounds, he was getting out hustled at times because his energy isn't used to 12 hard rounds and I don't think his ageing body will improve ffs in September next year he will be 36.5!!!

Canelo is a solid puncher but it was the hand speed that stopped GGG in his tracks, and he was getting timed with big shots too. The same thing will happen against Jr, GGG will stand there like a turtle hoping CEJ stops punching so he can have a turn, but he will be getting hurt and will be worn down and when he has a turn it will be less effective.

It's an interesting fight. Saunders movement is excellent but unlikely he will sweep the first 5 rounds this time and Eubank will pressure him way more than Lem so will see how his gas tank holds up there

Billy is a decent sized middleweight as is Eubank. Eubank is very small for SMW and only walks around at 12st.

Do you honestly believe Jr walks around 12st?, most 154 and some 147lbers walk around more than that?
The guy weighs in @ 167.25 and looks like a twig, then 24 hours later he is much more solid and muscular looking?
Can't be less then 180lbs fight night which makes him a average to decent sized 168lber, Callum Smith probably weighs 190lbs he's a freak.

Billy Joe would be early 170's fighting @ 160, maybe even 175. I don't consider him a small middleweight at all, but he's clearly a natural middleweight. Jr is a natural super middleweight that was boiling down to 160, he only ever made the weight about 5 or 6 times and most of those times he needed to weigh in twice.

Jr is smaller than Groves for sure, but Groves is a big super middleweight who wouldn't be undersized @ 175.
Callum Smith could move up to 175 and he would be bigger than basically everybody, at least bigger than all of the top guys.

I agree with a lot of what you’ve said in regards to other fighters weights, but regarding Eubank Junior’s weight, he has stated himself that he walks around at 12 stone. Groves noted it too at the press conference.

I don’t know his personal schedule but he strikes me as someone who doesn’t take any time off in-between fights and is always on it. Maybe if he did take a month or two off, he might go up to 13 stone.

I’ve always said that he should move back down to 160, but recently, that division is really starting to hot up whereas in the 168 division, 2 of the champs are arguably very beatable (Truax and Zeuge). So maybe the move to 168 was quite shrewd on his part.

Zeuge isn't a champion and Truax won't even make 1 defense.

160 is decent but overrated IMO, especially GGG and Canelo who are 2 of the most overhyped blokes in the game.

I think Jr should go down for a mega fight, otherwise the 160lbers should come to him

Jr should go down for GGG, it doesn't matter what division they fight in I think Jr has the beating of him. I actually think they are both drained at 160 though.

He should go down for Canelo as Canelo isn't a real middleweight he is just a midget and Jr might lose something draining but will have a dramatic size advantage.

He can go down and fight Saunders too, it's a fight everyone wants and Saunders has a belt. Saunders will be a much tougher fight @160, he will be strong at the weight and Jr will be drained but it might be worth It for revenge.

Other than that I think the 160lbers can come to him.

Yes as he' said he does. Carl Froch talked about how thinly built Eubanks was and though he rates him highly he knows he's a middleweight fighting st super featherweight. Eubank himself said he's still happy to fight at middleweight for the right fight as he can do the weight no problem. Let me tell you a big SMW wouldn't be able to fight at MW.

12 stone is the super middle limit, there would be no decent middleweight walking around that light let alone a super middleweight.

Jr saying he walks around that light is just smoke and mirrors, just smack talking.

Look at how big he has looked against Abraham and Yildirim, 2 blokes who struggle to make 168, Jr was looking bigger than King Arthur and not small next to light heavyweight Yildirim.

I think people will be shocked when Jr and Groves meet and the size difference isn't even much. Groves was huge compared to Cox, I think he will be only a little bigger than Jr.

Billy looked big against a midget like Lemieux, and Lemieux would be 175 fight night, Jr is quite a bit bigger than Billy.

Funny how all the Americans are talking about Billy being a huge weight cutting super middleweight and the brits think he can make 154. Billy is a big middleweight and can't make 154 healthy but he ain't a super middleweight.

BJS wins on points, eubank cries at the end saying BJS ran. That's my prediction. I can not see eubank unlocking him. Yes he will win rounds and have a few glimpses but BJS is too well schooled

Actually I've seen that GGG is the 1/4 favourite over Saunders. I thought he beat both Canelo and Jacobs, so I have Lemieux as probably his 3rd best win.

I just think he cuts the ring off well enough to pin Saunders down enough to land shots. He doesn't have to have him cornered for the entire fight or even the entirety of a round to win it remember. Saunders could pretty much just go at his own pace against Lemieux but Golovkin makes you work constantly which takes a physical and mental toll. Agreed he's getting slower and is on the slide but I don't think it's significantly enough to not have him a favourite here.

Would be a mistake for Jr to move back down. He is filling into his natural frame mow at 168 and looks more powerful.

Froch walked around at close to his fighting weight and he was more sturdy than Groves. Weighing an extra 5lbs doesn't change intangibles. Jr can take more punishment than Groves

Incredible what decision wins against Lemieux and 168 Abraham can do for perception

In my tiny mind it would end in the same sort of result.

There's too many intangibles with a rematch. You could argue the loss fast-tracked Eubank into becoming fully fledged. He's certainly better now than he was then.

Then you've got Saunders vacant performances and new setup with Ingle. At his best he was always going to beat someone as technically guileless as Lemieux but his bad patch made it seem plausible he'd withered on the vine. He showed he's still here, but that means little in terms of how he'd now fare against a much more complete fighter in Eubank. All it really establishes is that it wouldn't be the mismatch it might've been if Saunders hadn't gotten his act together.

A lot would depend on whether he can keep his sh!t together. It's easy enough to picture a 'Rocky' style montage, less so to live it. Assuming Saunders could keep up a monastic regime of living the life, in a perfect world (and boxing politics are anything but) the most plausible path to a rematch would be:

    • GGG vs Canelo
    • Eubank beats Groves
    • Saunders beats Charlo, Andrade or Jacobs (yeah, those match-ups felt as unrealistic to type as they are to happen)

    • Eubank beats Smith to win the tourney (I'm assuming Smith's performance against Skogland was an abberation and he makes it past Brahmer)
    • Saunders fights the winner of GGG/Canelo
    • Eubank rematches Saunders

If both remain unbeaten on the other side of that field of murderers' it'll be the biggest fight in the sport south of heavyweight.

Sorry for length, been at the booze.
