Dude GGG was never mandatory for Martinez or ever really relevant during his run, also WBC has bent no rules during the whole process Cotto offered GGG a deal he agreed, Canelo did he agreed again, even now the WBC didn't even strip the title it was vacated.
There should really be less celebrations and more hope that the continued talks are fruitful.

Nope, that was Rubio who got to fight for an interim title because Martinez hadn't defended it since winning it.
But then bended it when Cotto didn't honor the deal at all and vacated. At that point Golovkin should have been elevated to full WBC champion like he should have been if there wasn't a deal in place at all. Instead they just completely ignored that and were basically giving Canelo the "vacant" belt if he won the fight.
Right, so no credit to the WBC for basically doing nothing.
I'm not celebrating, because this again leaves the only stick to beat on Golovkin intact, which is resume. If people keep running away you can never build resume anyway. And we missed out on a decent fight too... Canelo might have lasted until the 2nd half of the fight.
