what a joker...this is from the same fraud who said JONES would beat Calzaghe!!!

One of his biggest points was Ward's amazing inside game but I guess he forgets how Hopkins' inside game was prevented by Calzaghe? :nut

I guess he also forgets how Ward was well and truly gassed vs Froch from rounds 8/9 onwards - does he believe Calzaghe doesn't have FAR more superior stamina and workrate to Froch!? :think

And was Froch's loss to Ward a 108 - 120? Nope because depending on which judge you reference Froch lost from between 2 and 8 points. So I guess according to Dwyer Calzaghe only has marginally better boxing skills than Froch?? :silly

He also forgets Dawson was weight drained. That Dawon never liked pressure fighters! (Pascal? - and Froch beat him by several rounds!!!).

Ward is good. Ward is very very good - I think he's amazing & I used to hate the man...truly hate him but he is very good but he isn't calzaghe great. He'd do very well vs prime Joe but after probably winning the first 3/4 rounds he would tire and Joe would come at him over and over and over again for another 8 straight rounds.

I thought we Brits over hype our athletes, but after seeing the reaction to Ward beating Dawson, I was wrong, we don't compare to the Americans!

The way I see it right now, Joe would just be too much over 12 rounds for Ward, who would get some success, but ultimately he won't be able to keep up as Joe goes through the gears, at the end Joe finishes stronger to take the decision in a close fight. Though Ward is getting better, and thoroughly deserves the respect he is getting. The Dawson doesn't mean much though, I'd say Ward's win over Abraham is better

Eh, he'd have a good shot IMO, Calzaghes insane work rate would probably be his undoing though.

Dwyer also has stated that Holyfield, Tarver, and Bhop would give Wlad Klitschko a good go. No respect for some of the nonsense he thinks.

Dwyer's a crazy guy. Don't follow what he says, and I haven't watched the above vid, but I can assure you, he's not the the only one who thinks Ward would beat him. In fact, a lot of people do. And for good reasons. He's the better fighter :deal

It almost seems like there's a pattern to which fighter he picks to win.

I don't usually agree with Dwyer, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

All this speculation mean ****....ward will never fight joe so we will never know who wins.

Fact: joe has never fought anyone with the combination of youth and experience that Ward and Dawson would bring and his greatest win against a primed and experienced boxer was Kessler who in his own right is a solid champ but very limited in his ability to adjust and execute different gears in the squared circle. Joe deserves the praise he gets to a certain extent but the godlike comparisons he gets on these boards are totally unjustified.

That is proof that Calzaghe would win if the fight happened prime vs prime.

The fact people still talk about joe proves how great he was

Straight punches beat wide punches. Joe fought a shell of Hopkins and an even worse version of Jones. Neither of those two, at the time Joe fought them, is a decent comparison to a prime Ward.

Prime RJJ blows Joe out of the water. Even Joe knew this, which is why he asked for "the crown jewels."

A handful of fanboys make threads about Joe. Pretty much all of them are created by either Bailey, one of his alts, or a Team Elite member. Having 4-5 guys bring him up is not the same as having all of boxing discussing him. Hell, all of boxing barely knew who he was when he was active.

Firing off slaps at a rapid rate is the only arguemant people have for Calzaghe over Ward. There is no other.
