....not really a surprise, it doesn't really prove anything. So what is David Haye's resume been reduced to? One significant win?
very different win for haye, haye wrecked him in 2 rounds, enzo was beating the guy until he tired and got sloppy.:-(
He did get a bit sloppy, he should of beat him on points...even with his lack of boxing skills and chin. But still, the guy(Enzo) lacks a lot of boxing skills, not that im taking anything away from Haye or anything, but his wins over JMM and Fragomeni always meant to me more than his win over that joke Enzo.
I agree, Fragomeni is pretty good as far as cruisers go. He doesn't look much, but he has a style that works for him and is tough as hell. I think the only reason Haye fought Enzo was it was his highest payday, and he knew it was a really easy fight, as most sensible analysts did. Somehow it got built up into a 50/50 type fight, with people actually believing the hype and picking Enzo, based mostly on weight draining for Haye.
Nice or not this is a boxing forum so debate and discussion is kind of the order of the day. Enzo definitely needs to consider his options very carefully at this point though before he has nowhere left to go.
I laughed at the upset by Afolabi but I started feeling bad after during the after fight interview cause he was very honest and seemed like a genuinely good guy. It's gotta be crushing for him cause that was basically a career ruining loss and he was man enough to do an honest interview after getting brutally stopped as well. I feel for him, hope he can put together some nice paydays on the domestic level and earn enough $ to retire with comfortably.
I have been saying this all along. David Haye preactically did not defend the titles because his fight with Enzo was nothing more than a local British fight. That leaves Haye's record with one notable fighter - fading Mormeck. It speaks enough. I have nothing against Enzo. He had a very good fight with Braithwaite. The point is that Haye never defended his titles. And he did it for a very good reason. It was too risky for Haye to take the solid cruiserweights.
Let's be honest, it was never one of Haye's best wins anyway. Does prove Haye's power....Afolabi had Enzo in trouble a few times but it took a beast of a punch when Enzo had punched himself out and he still didn't look half as bad when Haye hit him, what, five times?
Afolabi is not a punching monster in the first place yet he KOed Enzo with one shot. Haye needed more punches.
