Nor do I, the biggest thing being footwork. Canelo sits and plants. A smaller guy won't beat Golovkin like that, on the move maybe, but sitting in the pocket? Nope.
Like I've said on several other threads, Canelo's power is a carefully constructed illusion, its average at best, probably 6 at LMW and MW a 5.
His threat to Triple G isn't so much his punching power as it is his boxing skill which backs up that power.
Plus he was was wearing wininng gloves too. Had he been wearing reyes or grants GGG might have hit the floor with that right hand he took in the 9th.
I'm not so sure man. That clip is getting plastered all over Twitter and I'm not surprised as it's a beauty, but in a slow mo I noticed GGG actually rides the punch a little which I think helped absorb it. Could be wrong but I don't think those gloves would have made any real difference
hard enough to keep the boogey man from closing the show....1_10 I give Big Red a solid 8 Everything he throws, might not land, has bad intentions behind it brother
Canelo will knock out guys like Lemule who leave themselves wide open for clean counters. If you throw your punches and one comes back right on the money most people are going to sleep. That's when his KO power comes from. Its a mix of average power and excellent, elite timing.
