Not expecting it? Ortiz was looking right at Floyd when Floyd hit him the first time. But I guess when Floyd walked at him with his hands up like he was about to start fighting wasn't a good enough sign.

he touched gloves...pushed him away....nodded...threw a punch...and yes, you're right...instead of covering, ortiz looked at cortez like "he won't kiss me again"

I have to say I was pretty disgusted with May's KO watching the fight but I didn't hear Cortez giving the command to fight again. If the command was really given then I have to say I prefer Floyd's sucker punch to Pac's constant hugging and lack of aggression in such situations against Mosley.

Of course an ideal fighter's behaviour would be somewhere in the middle - not as dirty as Floyd and not as clean as Pac.

So be pissed at the rookie for his rookie mistake. I mean really? This ain't no damn sparring match. This was the real deal. Floyd is his opponent not his coach. If Ortiz wants to feel guilty he can feel guilty after the fight is over. Too bad he was looking for a way out anyway, as he sure wasn't protesting too much when all was said and done.

Floyd should have been the bigger man and waited for the confusion to clear and then whoop Ortiz as he would have continued to do.

I can't respect someone who purposely hugs someone then waits till there not looking and cheap shot them. That's a ***** move in any walk of life. Try and defend it all you want but I would be ashamed if I did that to someone in a street fight nevermind if I was supposed to be the best boxer in the world. Floyd bitched out, plain and simple.

And before anyone starts yes Ortiz bitched out too, he cheap shotted Floyd with his head, it gave Floyd the chance to be a better man and he didn't take it.

All three in the ring last night put another black stain on the sport.

He said "time in" and gave the signal to continue. I mean what more would you need.

Did I make a statement about the result of the fight? NO.

I made a statement about the individual actions of Floyd Mayweather.

You said nothing. Not ****. Zero. Zip.

A ***** move? Ortiz was clearly looking right at Floyd when he hit him the first time. Where were you looking? Did you not read what I just posted?

It was quite clear he wasn't ready to box on. Floyd don't need to use cheap tricks but he did anyway. This is meant to be a mans sport so they should man up and box properly. Both men made the sport look bad last night imo
