If Jnr actually made that poster himself he needs to F right off.

Looks like Rahman Jr. has balls and a heart bigger than his brain, he is not even in the top 300, I doubt that it is allowed to pair him with Joshua, the difference in experience and quality is incomparable.

I would imagine Ortiz would have burned his bridges there after turning them down the first time.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's Washington.
Chisora steps aside for his friend, maybe fighting some British journeyman instead.

AJ Vs Chisora, Del boy might take a nervous AJ into deep water. Most of the others on the list will be seen as too high risk.

Honestly as long as it isn't Rahman Jr I'm happy with anyone. He can be forgiven for a soft touch with 7 days notice.

Hell, at least it won't be against someone with no boxing experience.

Wallin would be a good fight, but like Franklin he has the risk of making it not very pretty (and poses more of an all-round risk to AJ). But AJ should win it really, Wallin deserves a nice payday, and it'd be interesting to compare how AJ copes with him vs how Fury dealt with him.

Problem is that Wallin's management are evidently idiots based on his crap resume post-Fury, so they probably won't get it together on time.

I wonder why Chris Arreola hasn´t raised his hand. The guy won a fight just four months ago, looked competitive against Ruiz and is not chinny, I think he can give it a good go as a fill in.

I think being a southpaw blows it for Wallin, on top of the Fury performance. Joshua isn't an especially intelligent or adaptive fighter, he needs to be well drilled before a fight. If they were ever going to do Wallin then they wouldn't have gone for Franklin, who was a less well known and regarded opponent by some distance.

Wallin's management may be crap but good southpaw heavies have never been popular opponents. Tony Thompson was one of Wlad's best wins but his record doesn't suggest that to many, probably because the likes of Ibragimov, Chambers, Arreola etc. didn't want it. Wallin also had the misfortune of being ducked at the last minute by Whyte, which cemented his reputation as someone you don't fight unless you have to.

Yeah it sucks for Wallin. By being a solid, talented (if unspectacular) fighter you get shunned for the big fights because there's a risk you'll make the A-side look a bit silly. Sad state of affairs that boxing works in such a way really. Funny you should mention Thompson, I still get a weird satisfaction in watching his demolitions of David Price every now and then - those fights are probably the perfect case study for why southpaws have been shunned by promoters!
