I've enjoyed the shows so far. They've possibly been better than the average smaller Matchroom show. Production looks good, BT are certainly professionals and Frank is ensuring several competitive fights on each card. He knows he has to keep producing and it's the fans who are benefitting thankfully. And he has possibly his best card on BT so far to come on saturday, really looking forward to it.

I doubt Frank will reach the heights of matchroom with shows like AJ Klitschko but I think this venture will be a success. Frank has learned a lot the last few years and he's done great to get this opportunity from BT, I can't see him messing it up.

I think his fighters are already getting better exposure and tickets are selling better than they were. This is the very beginning, in four or five years sky could have some real competition.

What are peoples thoughts? I'm just happy to see two of the biggest sports chanels competing to show the best of my favourite sport. I feel the fans are already feeling the benefits. I just hope no more cards clash.

I think on the whole FW cards definitely feature more competitive fights than the matchroom one's. Also seems to me less B.S. between each fight one finishes and another starts . It's good stuff I like it. Also bt pundits will tell it how it is, not just rave about the home fighter constantly

Tbf i was flicking between channels the other nite and was half gassed on the jack daniels. But to me frank needs to sign some exciting fighters otherwise theirs not really gonna be a competition. His two best are saunders and tyson fury. Neither are that exciting anyway. Furys suspended and saunders is forced to create beef with a guy that cant talk english.

Its like hes went out his way to sign every fighter that ticks the box of being non exciting. His stable compared to hearns is a bit like comparing joshua to dubois. Or the irish burd hearns got compared to the one franks got. Just poor imitations. Even warrington whats he got 5 ko,s. Struggled with a guy quigg knocked out in 2 a few years back. At least the matchmakings not too bad. But looks like they,ll be relying on opponents to bring excitement to fights. That davis a great coup. But how many of them are out there that wont come and beat up franks man.

Needs to sign groves to some kind of deal. Maybe haye. Massive longshot but chris eubanks junior. Guys like that. The problem is they wont come cheap. Cause that current crop hes got are underwhelming. Needs an entertainer badly to carry the shows...otherwise hes just plugging away without being a serious contender. Just my 2 cents on it.

I don't think you necessarily need exciting fighters if you can make competetive fights. Anyone will look entertaining if the opponent is pressuring throughout.

I really enjoy watching Fury and BJS box anyway. The two most naturally gifted boxers in the UK for me.

Its not like hearns not putting out competetive match ups tho. Not sure a lot will follow you with enjoying watching fury and bjs outside of massive boxing fans. Its not that their not enjoyable there just not that exciting. Fury was actually when he was coming through...cause he made basic mistakes. But since steve cunninghham its pretty much been a case of keeping people on the end of his jab. Hes suspended anyway. Bjs is fighting a guy outside of massive boxing fans wont have heard of. And looks like warrens brought bjs down to create some beef with a guy that doesnt speak english. Its now just bjs and the boys trainer shouting at each other. Franks a long way off from being the big player he once was. The two stables are like night and day. I know that people want to backlash against sky/hearn/matchroom atm. But franks got a full stable of guys you,d struggle to watch. I actually think crolla before the second linares fight would get more viewers than bjs. And thats about hearns 8th best fighter to warrens best. Needs to break the bank and get at least one top fighter thats exciting on his books. He should have took that ortiz and put him in fights that he would look good in. Needs someone big to pull the rest of them through imo. Tbf looking forward to davis v walsh fight. But its mainly for davis. Walsh decent but hes hardly had any exposure. Careers stalled. No personality. Pretty much the same as most of warrens fighters.

Not sure his career has stalled if he's fighting for a world title mate

On a wider scale, I kinda agree with the part about the stable. A lot of these guys aren't known to a more casual audience but this is how they get that gradual exposure. Frank doesn't have any rela top end KO merchants but the casuals will enjoy people like Anthony Yarde and probably Dubois to some extent for the time being. Khurtsidze wouldn't have been known to a casual audience but Frank played a smart move in having him fight Langford. Any casual who saw that sort a great KO and now sees that he'll be fighting again, thus is more likely to tune into the July card. Sucks for Langford to be sacrificed though

The card that had Liam Smith on which went head to head with a matchroom card absolutely knocked the socks off the matchroom show

Some of the fights on the BT card were epic, the opening fight was so so so good, one of the fights of the yer for sure was an absolute war

Needs a few more signings and a few more to win world titles, but as far as shows and production etc, they are catching up with matchroom and sky. Long way to go though.

If Fr@nk and BT want to encourage some of the casuals over two things they need to do is 1.get better football 2. Introduce a 24hr sports newsdesk.

No one is disputing any of that for now. We all know that's the current situation and you're dead right.

What I'm saying is look at the potential and tell me what you see. From that point of view I see quality production and competitive cards. If the quality production and competitive cards continue for several years, I can see the Warren/BT partnership being a big success.

Hearn will tell you it's taken years to build what they have now. Frank is at yhe beginning of the BT partnership but he has the box nation work as a head start which is why we're already seeing good cards.

If this continues, word will get round quickly that BT are showing quality cards. It's been a good start and as a boxing fan I'm very happy. I hope it's a big success because it means both Hearn and Warren will be bringing over international superstars in years to come which is what fans want. All in our time zone of course ;)

I feel that Warren may take over in the small/medium shows department, but look at fights that Hearn is putting out like Brook vs Spence, or earlier in the year with Joshua vs Wlad and Haye vs Bellew.

Warren just doesn't have the stable of fighters to put on HUGE shows like Hearn does. I agree though it's an encouraging start.

Newsdesk is spot on. It's sky's biggest boxing promotional outlet I think. Everyone flicks on sky sports news for 10 mins to see what's going on. BT sports news would be the same.

I could see this happening too and I've no problem with that as it will mean he's putting on good shows.

But stars emerge over time from these kind of shows and Warren ain't gona let anyone walk from what he's building.

With boxing so big in the UK nowadays, I wonder is there room for two giant promotional companies and broadcasters? You have Top rank and golden boy in the states, coupled up with hbo and showtime. Could end up a similar situation here and the UK looks like it's got the boxing numbers to sustain it.

Depends how you look at it mate. Think hes got something on offer atm for guys that are right into their boxing. But your talking about a pretty small market. I m right into my boxing but still not fussed for missing most of it. Williams v smith was a good fight. But its a bit like who,s williams again and think the first time i seen smith properly was against canelo. Where it was pretty clear to see hes pretty average. Think half the problem is we dont really know these fighters outside the ropes either especially with them being a bit of an average bunch it would help. So we,re no that fussed who wins anyway. Hearns done a great job along with ifilm to let us get to know them. Franks obviously not really had the chance being stuck on boxnation. The bt deal at least gives him that chance. But its a bit like although we all give sky/matchroom/hearn stick...their pretty much nailing it. Franks only really ever gonna be playing for second place. But its defo good news for boxing fans as you say. Just think hes never gonna make real strides until he gets in a marquee fighter. Would be a massive gamechanger for him. Thats how you get to know the other fighters by sticking them on the undercard. In danger of just not getting enough people interested imo. Needs someone that makes it a must see. I m not sure anyone in his stable has that or likely to ever have that. Crazy thinking but he should get eubanks junior in. Can build the rest through him. Without someone like that its gonna be a long few years for frank. The problem is he needs guys that attracts the casual but at the same time hearn has them all and likely gonna keep getting first dibs on them. Tbf i wont put it past frank he,ll pull someone out the bag. But outside of everything...its the one thing that he needs more than anything. He could be putting on good cards everyweek...but if the majority of people havent heard of them etc...they probably wont tune in in the first place. At least hes got a chance tho...but hes struggling unless he adds to his stable.

I ll watch the walsh v davis fight but its more for davis. Very good match up. Think davis wins it comfortably. Looks like he could be quality.

I've enjoyed all the BT Cards lately
