I cancelled my Sky Sports deal when Warren went to BT, I had boxnation before so now I get that free plus all the UFC action and then £5.99 a month for UFC fight pass which has loads of other combat sport events. I did PPV Joshua vs Vlad though but I expect to do that if its a decent match up.

I have really enjoyed BT sports shows so far only guy I am not keen on is the presenter commentator Ronald Mcintosh, just his voice is annoying and it can feel like watching eurosport boxing when he is on but perhaps he will grow on me in time.

I expect Daniel Dubois to be matched against Joshua further down the line if he progresses properly and Joshua is still relevant.

I think Fury's return will be a big boost for the project. I've noticed on social media a real change in attitude towards Fury. People are finally realising he's a quality boxer after seeing what Wlad done to AJ 18 months later.

Of course he's still got haters but haters also pay the bills. Look at Floyd Mayweather. Floyd showed you don't need to be an 'exciting' fighter to do the big numbers, being the pantomine villain will suffice and Fury plays that role magnificently.

Everyone wants to see the return of a champion and Fury will be no different. If he comes back on a stacked card it will do fantastic numbers which will be great exposure for all fighters on the card.

Warren is arguably starting off on BT with a stronger hand than Hearn did with sky. All I'm saying is don't underestimate Warren and BT. He's got a decent improving stable and a broadcaster with big money. You can be 2nd to matchroom and still be a huge promotional company.

Lets be honest tho...people are lauding frank for putting on shows a little bit worse than eddies normal sky shows or around the same level anyway. The same shows people have complained about constantly for the last few years.

Its a good bonus for the boxing fan.

But unless he gets someone with genuine star quality...it wont last is my guess. How many people outside compulsive boxing fans know any of these names. They wont tune in in the first place. Casuals arent really interested in seeing williams v smith. Or have never heard of geovante davis or liam walsh. Hes got to start somewhere but i cant see them getting the figures to justify what bt are spending on it. Whereas you get a david haye onboard...or a eubank junior or even a groves. He,ll at least attract their following so he can at least get the chance to show off whats in his stable. Another problem being his stable just arent exciting. The problem with haye groves eubank junior is they know their worth. Cant imagine bt being up for spending an endless supply of money for it.

You ve got to appeal to the broad market if you want to survive. Atm theres nothing that even attracts the broad market to tune in in the first place.

Fury will give them a bit of a boost...but people arent really that interested in him. Not like joshua anyway. Without his mouth and having exposure early in his career...hes not that exciting to watch. I d defo tune in. But how many others or how many others would tune in and stay tuned in. Furys comeback will be heading to ppv very soon anyway if he does make it back that is. It ll be maybe one or two fights. Again he ll be wanted paid well. The opponent will be wanting paid well. Bt pick up the bill. But when they see them viewing figures...i m not sure they ll be all that happy. People still talk about how bad/boring his fight was against wlad.

I m slagging it but tbf i m very happy with the news. Any boxing fan would be but looking at it from a business perspective...its not looking great. Needs to get an exciting fighter thats already got a following onboard. Would change the game.

    You
Aint heard of Smith pre Canelo and your only watching Walsh to see Davis.
This is the market fr@nk needs to crack. The ones who only know the big international names and hearns/ sky stable
You bring up some valid points but unless more people start tuning into bt as a whole, the boxing from fr@nk aint gonna get the audiance it needs.
But this bt deal is a good start for fr@nk. Hes in a far stronger position than this time last year

Not going to go deep into it, but It's been a wonderful start so far from Frank and BT.

I've enjoyed all of the cards so far especially the Leciester bill with Lyon Woodstock and co which was fanastic entertainment.

Also nobody builds a fighter like Warren so I'm intrigued to see how the likes of Yarde and Dubious and co develop over the next year.

Davis V Liam is a cracking fight in a good realistic venue.

So far, so good for ole Frank

People are lauding Frank because he's putting on more competitive shows than Eddie's average card. If this continues the viewing figures will undoubtedly rise regardless of whether David haye, George Groves or Eubank Jr are on it or not.

You need casuals for big PPV events. But there's enough boxing fans in the UK and Ireland to tune into these BT cards to justify what we're currently getting. Stars will emerge from the cards over time with the new platform and viewing figures will further rise.

The more it grows the more money Frank will have to play with and then he'll sign up some bigger names, then it grows again. You must crawl before you walk. How did Eddies stable look at the start of his sky venture? Probably worse than Franks current stable so I envisage good things in the future. You seem very set in the here and now.

I'm excited for the future on BT.

Its been a positive start for sure and a lot of fights where your hard pushed to pick a winner at the start is a trend id like to see continue

Its like anything else mate...you need to invest big time to get a return. Sky did they invested heavily in hearn from the start. He pretty much had a blank cheque to get a good list of fighters. Franks end goal is ppv. First chance he gets he,ll start it up. Hes not doing this to provide for the die hard boxing fans...its because he sees what eddies doing and wants exactly the same. The same thing people are constantly complaining about.

Its a good thing hes got the deal. It is a positive thing. But dont expect to get anything different to the matchroom formula. But with a list of inferior fighters. Also dont agree theres a large enough market outside casuals...pretty much why boxnation struggled for years needing to be propped up...setanta failed etc. You need the masses.

Its not that i ve not heard of smith more that hes been stuck on boxnation most of his career. I ve not seen walsh since he beat scott harrison back in 2012. Boxnation just didnt give these guys exposure to anyone but the diehards.

They ve now got a better oppertunity but how do you get the masses watching. Eddies managed it but hes managed on a better platform. With better fighters top notch marketing of the fighters and most importantly of all...a genuine star in joshua even brook...froch. even groves was used. The list goes on. That was the big game changer. It allowed the lesser boxers to grow. Now guys like crolla etc have a following off the back of it.

But saying to guys williams fighting smith tonite top of the bill. The majority would be like who are they. No real incentive to tune in. You put brook top of the card as an example...they tune in for him. Thats the hardest part getting the masses tuning in.

Be interesting to see how it all turns out. But got a feeling frank will desperately try to take it down the ppv route the first chance he gets.

You can get 2 absolute useless fighters , it don't matter , has long has
1--- They think they can fight .
    2---- There prepared to fight
    3---- There EVENLY MATCHED .

Then you get a good fight , they don't have to be world champs just the above .

I think Frank understands this , he's been around long enough he knows boxing .. I think where Eddie has it over him is he manages to build the fighters up and create events rather than boxing matches . But Franks recent interviews suggest he's learning from Eddie that part ,, for a while it seemed he was'nt with the times social media and all that , but Frank's an old dog who can be taught new tricks .. Eddie well to be honest he's done a terrific job , but i feel he's starting to think he's bigger than boxing and turning himself into a celebrity instead of his boxers ,, after AJ you will see a decline
