Actually the more realestste available to charge for more seating increases revenue all the way around the board. Going from 14,000+ to 40,000+ can easily generate 10s of millions for an event as potentially as big as this one. Venue is so key for this kind of event to maximize profits for everyone including the local economy.

 

Tell me how much more money Pac at the gate by fighting at Cowboys stadium then. Get beyond Flip Math and graduate to middle school.

RJJ-Tito in their primes would have been a massacre. It was actually better that Hopkins beat Trinidad, he would have taken a beating at LHW vs Jones. Their fight when both were past prime was not that bad.

But yeah, I hope you're right and it is just a ploy to get them to drop the suit, or Floyd coming in second or some petty **** like that

 

How many times do you have to see the math that clearly refutes this idiotic stadium non sense. There's no model to support this increase in revenue. Multiple posters (myself included) did the crude math on this, but there was an article put out two days ago that breaks it down in even greater detail...this is blatanly false, unless you have some new information that can better make this "increased revenue" idea.

 

So you have any numbers to support this? There would be no site fee (up front money paid by the venue to secure rights) because the venue would be constructed for the fight temporarily. You would also have to make enough money at the gate to cover construction, so you'd essentially be starting 15 million in the hole...to put that in perspective, ODLH/Floyd gated 18 million at the MGM. So to top the gate at the MGM, they would have to gate 33 million, give or take, that's just realistic.

 

I'm with you man. I actually believed (or wanted to anyway) that Floyd actually meant it this time. And quite frankly, it's because he "seemingly" pushed so hard it. Before the Floyd tweets I was having your typical tit-for-tat with a semi-intelligible Floyd fan. Per usual, I believe the topic was ducking and somewhere through that conversation I told this guy something to the effect of if Floyd was sincere than he would use public/social mediums and use public pressure to corner Pac into a fight. Of course the stubborn fanboy actually thought this a stupid idea just for the sake of being stupidly argumentative, I think his main argument against it was he already had some Fighthype videos out from a month ago (I was like huh? So the **** what!). Of course, then BOOM just a couple of days later we get Floyd's Tweets and Facebook callouts. At this point I was like 'whoa Floyd', totally out of character for this guy to be so bold, "MAYBE HE REALLY REALLY MEANS IT THIS TIME". Despite my occasional venom towards extremist *****s parroting duck accusations, mentally I was doing cartwheels and jumping jacks. Hey their boy finally found his urge. Then we hit a climax with the "phonecall" with Pac saying yes I'm down if it's a 50/50 split. Simple no-brainer right? Floyd's public call-outs worked perfectly! All of a sudden this fight looked very real for May 5th. 3 years in the making and its finally staring us it the face. Inside I was saying, way to go Floyd better late than never....you're a disgusting woman-beater, but for at least this time you're giving boxing fans a solid.


....well to make this all-too familiar story short and get to the point: fool me once shame on me, fool me for the 100th ****ing time, than **** you Floyd! Thank you, that's all for today's diatribe.
