Some more About Texas The Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation won't be drug testing the boxers before and after their bout, a spokesman told the Daily News Most state commissions have boxers submit to only urine tests before and after a fight. The Texas agency doesn't even do that. Its executive director, William Kuntz, can order a drug screen for boxers if there is "good cause." But Susan Stanford, a public information officer for the department, doesn't envision that happening for this fight, even though Pacquiao has come under increased scrutiny of late over the issue of performance-enhancing drugs. "At the present time, no drug testing will be required of the boxers," she told The News Thursday. "We don't see rumors as good cause. There is a medical examination before the fight, but that doesn't include drug testing." Arum said he chose to stage the fight in Texas for the amenities, not the lack of drug testing. "I always assumed (that Texas) did drug testing, but I know for sure that the WBO insists on that," Arum said in a phone interview. "The reason the fight is in Texas is because it's in Cowboys Stadium, not because of the (lack of) drug testing." http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/m...est_issues_for_manny_fight.html#ixzz0gdhpb9LS
What is your highest level of education? We are able to talk about this ....neither of us are experts on PEDS so why does Floyds family have to shut up I only have 2 semesters of Chemistry and 3 semesters of biology I am working on my Doctorate my fourth degree....
Master's. Not that that matters when following arguments predicated on the ramblings of high school dropout.
so you are insulting floyd for asking for better drug testing, because he didn't finish high school? yet, it's ok for pac to make claims contrary to medical science, becuase he uh, didn't finish high school? atsch AND, what does this have to do with xylo? red herring much?
MBA's are cool I sat in on MBA classes for Supply Chain Management as an undergraduate much different than undergrad I am currently in Law School.... nice talking to you! You are the smartest poster on the forum :good
The ENTIRE PED issue is an issue only because of FJM Sr.'s conjectures. Xylocaine wouldn't be an issue if the Chicken Little of PEDs didn't say "sumpin'".
and now you are making a conjecture, since you obviously cannot prove that and quite frankly, xylo isn't an issue
That's not conjecture, it's fact. It came right out of his ignorant mouth: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRH6Ehf32bo[/ame] "Substiments". Excellent! Was there a media focus on PEDs in boxing & concerning Pacquiao in particular before Sr.'s comments? Clearly not.
His argument is tantamount to you did it first so why can't I. That type of reasoning works real well in Kindergarten:good
So no one else thinks that PEDs in boxing wouldn't be a current "issue" if not for Mayweather Sr. (& then his son running with it)? Sure...
blame the media then there have been extra drug testing asked for in boxing before, and there are some fighters with extra drug clauses built into their contracts, and it has been shown on this site numerous times if this is your entire argument, then it appears you should direct it at the media
By any logic applicable to those accused, and those proven under the essence of gaining advantage or using substances that would benefit the performance of a fighter under ESB standards is deemed a cheater. Regardless if it happened where the sanctioning bodies allows it or not, the essence is still cheating.
