Manny didn't look exceptional at all to me. He was fighting a slower and more flat footed Marquez, but still having trouble with his angles, still eating hard rights, except now they were hurting him badly, and still eating lefts to the body.

It was nice that he finally started to use his right hand, but that is the only improvement I saw, he looked worse in terms of how he actually was applying pressure, most likely because of the loss of speed and explosiveness with age. IMHO.

I think that because of how well Pac fought for 17:59 minutes of that fight maiden it difficult for Roach to say Pac has slipped enough to ask him to retire.

Truth be told Pac has slipped with age....but on Saturday he was digging into Juan's ass until 2:59 of round 6. That first KD was also a great shot but Pac was alright afterwards and came back to regain control.

Pac needs to relax and if he does come back....take on a light touch...just to see if the shot had more of a lasting effect on his psyche. I'm not sure one way or the other but we should be able to tell right away in how he performs.

Freddie will never be the one to see Manny slip.

Angelo Dundee said looking back with Ali that when you are so close you never see it the way people see it on the outside or the way you can look back on it after time has passed.

The money also doesn't hurt, it will be a while until he has another cash cow like Manny, his fighters are leaving in droves.

He couldn't find the angles because Marquez was doing a great job of keeping him off of his rhythm. He was getting caught and hurt, because JMM is fighting more flat footed and putting more into the punches than is typical. I saw very early on that JMM wanted to get Pac out of there. Even still Pac got into rhythm after awhile and used his speed to start landing more and more consistently on a JMM with a gameplan. He got caught, but honestly I feel JMM would have caught him eventually anyway....unless of course he didn't and he'd have been finished himself.

Freddie might well be telling him, but at the end of the day, its a pac decision.

I say rematch bradley, then retire
