Unless gavin gets a shot as a voluntary for kell how else is he meant to get a world title shot?

 

By 'earning' do you mean losing to Bundu, losing to Skeete and beating someone ranked 446th in the world?

 

If I was Gavin I'd go for it.

He say's that he fights to his opponents level - it doesn't get much better than the third best welter on the planet! If you win, you're in the big time. If not, there's no shame in losing to the third best welter on the planet.

It's a win-win situation.

I think Khan may continue to duck Brook until he has to face his mandatory Bradley and lose to him. I can then see Khan challenging Bradley for the IBF title.

 

Khan should fight Kell. It make his already big profile/bank balance even bigger.

 

Brook-Gavin in another joke of a fight coming to you on sky ppv may 30th promoted by yours truely Edward hearn. FOllowed by another stinker of a mismatch in August Brook-Rios. Awful awful fights, 33 tomato cans and he still won't get in the ring with Thurman who is willing to come to the UK....

 

Gavin is apparently willing to take the fight, to be honest I cant see a reason why he wouldn't. Gets a world title shot, gets a lot of money for the fight and obviously if by some miracle he does win then he is a world champ. If he loses though, what does that do to his reputation? Nothing, win-win situation for Gavin but for Brook however it is lose-lose

 

Just because Thurman says this and that doesn't mean he actually means it though does it. Rios is a good opponent, not world class but still a good opponent. Kell has a very average resume to now, but Porter is a very good fighter, Senchenko is a good win, then you have Jones and Dan who are okay wins. Hardly 33 'cans' is it but I see your point on it not being the best opposition.

 

Neither brook nor khan seem to want to fight best atm because as ive said promoters, media and fans berate them and discredit them and make it a long road back when all they did was lose to a top fighter
