This board was FLOODED with people going bonkers about GGG's "ppv FLOP" when it was announced that his ppv brought in 150000 views. So why is there no heat for the rumored 50k PPV buys from Terrance Crawford?
The GGG hate on this board is real, and I really cant understand it. He always brings exciting fights that would be great to get any of your friends who dont like boxing INTO boxing. His cards usually have great undercards, and he's not working with that slime ball Arum.
Crawford was being used as Arums next cash cow, but with his flop in PPV (weather it be lack of knowledge of who he is, or just a boring style) but now his name is being rumored to be dropped in a fight with Pac for JESSIE ****ING VARGAS.
To the GGG haters out there, how can you justify this?

What most people don't seem to take in to consideration is, with 3G's PPV, the gate sold out in record time, generated great buzz, and despite the lower than expected numbers, it made money for all involved. How that isn't seen as a success is insane. People think the total PPV numbers is all that matters. It's not. A couple of Floid's last PPV's sold a whole lot more, but reportedly LOST money for Haymon and his investors due to the necessity to accommodate Floid's purse.

Well the thing about it is no one has claimed Crawford is a draw. Everybody know at this point he isn't. People simply say Crawford is a great fighter. But PPV star he is not. Again everybody know that.

GGG is different. He or rather his fans have claimed he is a big draw. They have claimed he can set terms of negotiations and be A side and blah, blah blah. And people have rightfully pointed out GGG isn't the big draw his fans claim he is. He isn't Canelo, who isn't a great fighter btw. But he is a big draw.

GGG did 97k not 150k. And we all knew Crawford's PPV wouldn't do over 100k, most people were expecting GGG to do anywhere between 200-400k. Just check post histories, there will be people coming out saying I only expected 50-150k! But most of these guys posted this after the numbers came out.

Who claimed 3G was a draw before his PPV? I swear, you guys overthink and over-an@lyze too much about this stuff.

You aren't taking into consideration of WHO we would be considered the draw against. Against Alvarez? No. Against Ward? Absolutely.

Not to mention, 3G has now sold out, in record time, venues in LA, NY, and the UK. For a foreigner, that is impressive, regardless of bias.

he's building his base. No one serious can deny that.

I hope every future PPV tanks. Then maybe we'll finally get rid of it in boxing once and for all.

So do you also believe that Floyd/Maidana 2 did 900k+?

    http://www.badlefthook.com/2014/9/1...ana-ii-does-good-numbers-on-ppv-and-live-gate

    And Canelo/Khan did 600k?

You can't pick and choose which numbers you believe. Anyone who is unbiased knows that all of these numbers are inflated. But you are an autistic little g nuthugger so of course you think GGG did 150k . I actually think you might be a GGG hater, and you just defend him 24/7 to make more people dislike him. The GGG fans that don't spend their lives defending him dont want to be associated with wack jobs like you . I dont even have to expose GGG, you, loudon and others do more damage to the GGG's fanbase than I could ever do.

We're fans of fights, not accounts.

Crawford has just beaten the best LWW in the world. Not long after beating the best LW in the world.

Golovkin is calling out Canelo but as of yet he's isn't proven at that level.

Where are the conflicting sources that say Mayweather - Maidana 2 did different numbers? The links you provided suggest nothing other then their numbers.

And with canleo - Khan, again, what are the conflicting numbers that suggest it did not do those numbers?

You don't expose anything, other then a simple mind and a lack of critical thinking.

All you are showing is cynicism towards reported numbers w/o showing anything to support your claim. And you try to act like the smart one here?

The one thing about GGG is that he has a PPV style, but nobody is going to pay to watch him fight unless he has a PPV level opponent.

Honestly, knowing now what Crawford is likely to do which is avoid and run, ain't nobody is gonna wanna watch that bull**** unless he's up against someone that people ABSOLUTLELY can beat him, cuz nobody likes watchin a dude run.

GGG vs Alvarez would be favored for GGG, but people like watchin an ass beatin, so nobody would give a ****.

Same reason there isn't people saying "well they only invested $15 million so they made a profit."

    Crawford isn't as popular.
