So GGG bringing in 150k ppv gets burned, why the silence on Crawford?

Sad that more people don't understand what they are looking at.
Every crawford fight I've been on the edge of my seat.

Are we forgetting that GGG/Lemieux PPV was supposed to be the start of a "new ppv star", based on K2's expectations, which was 200k buys would equal a successful PPV event. On the contrary Crawford/Postal PPV was made out of necessity to make the fight happen. Both promoters had different goals/intentions behind their PPVs.

I don't get the obsession on ESB with PPV numbers. That means exactly zero to me as to whether I like to see a fighter in action or not.

GGG done 97 thou because you simply cannot sell on PPV when you fight in the worst division in boxing.

Golovkin is just as big a name as Canelo and compare their PPV numbers :rofl:oops:

Nobody wants to see bum fights.

    Facts:

Was it 150k or was it 97k? Nobody knows, so why are you using the high estimate for GGG and the low estimate for Crawford. What I think smart people know is that it would have been HALF of whatever it was without being a twinbill with the second most popular fighter in Mexico. That's why the set it up the way they did.

As I've said multiple times, I like GGG, I hate the Golovkunnts.

To be honest, I've seen more promos and build up for the GGG/Lemmy fight than I did for both Mayweather Pacquaio and Crawford/Postol combined

There were posters, commercials and ads everywhere for Bummy's ppv and it only sold 97k.

Nobody cares whether GG or Crawford sell tbh but the fanatics do. We argue more with fanatics here then talking boxing. The fanatics go under their alt and say anything just because. No real knowledge behind their thoughts. Just blurt and offend lol...

Your entire argument consists of, "I don't believe the numbers." and that's it. Nothing to support your theory, other than cynicism. You're boring....

No one's said 3G is as big as Canelo. Great counter point, probably a huge asset on your debate team. :good

    I agree with this.

I agree that the promoters and network probably inflate their numbers. But to inflate it over 50%?? I dont think that is reasonable. I think somewhere in the 120 range is probably the more accurate number.

The 97K source is no more reliable than anything else I have seen.

I agree---I like GGG, but his fans that think he is the greatest MW ever, and should be put in the HOF right now are a little crazy.

Wrong!! He did 150,000, which is over three times more than Crawford did. Crawford can't draw flies to horse sh!t. It does't matter if you "all knew" it wouldn't sell. The bottom line is he can't draw more than 2 non American fighters in a fight to unit the division.

    GGG 1 Crawford -1:deal
