It's tainted simply because a Middleweight pretender vacated the Title and ran for the hills.....and is still running !!!

The WBC belt already was tainted in the first place.

- It hasn't been fought for at MW for over 3 years.
- The last actual mandatory defence took place over 6 years ago.
- It has been vacated twice since.
- Canelo got to fight for an already vacated belt against the guy that vacated it and had agreed to pay step aside money but didn't.

This belt was as clean as the driven over yellow snow.
Be glad a real 160 fighter that actually defends against mandatories has it now.

 

better than the disgraceful 'cathweight' fights we have been getting. Canelo just fought a Glass Jawed Welterweight at 155 pounds. Can it really get worse than that? Any fight at 160 is better than that garbage.

Canyelo dumped his belt instead of fighting GGG, this is clearly the fault of golovkin. these 2 never fight sadly.

 

No, that's usually when someone actually signs to fight GGG, not the ones that don't. Canelo will stay a top class fighter until he caves in and signs, at that point he will be labelled a bum.

Exactly people are acting like GGG won but what they fail to realize is that his dumbass is still being left out in the cold. He still doesn't have the name on his resume to silence his critics to validate him nor does he have the big money PPV fight. His dumb diva ass should have fought Ward when he had the chance and win lose or draw would have been much better off by doing so. A win he's the best fighter in the world a loss more guys are willing to face him. Instead he's a diva and the king of a dead 3rd world country division with no one of note in it.
