A bum without a tainted belt, but with a better resume, more fans, more money, and more ***** than GGG. :deal

Not too happy about the way he went about it as well !

From beginning I threaded that he should face GGG first and caught flack from many.
Cotto has been hard to support as of late.
Right is right no matter who you are...!!!

GGG doesn't fight for money, he fights for belts apparently.

Yet took step aside money two or three times. Could have enforced the rules 2 years ago.

I don't blame GGG, why take on real opponents, why make a REAL effort to make the Big Fights happen when you have a legion of fanboys happy with him fighting bums, and I'm sure his madatory defense paydays go a very long way in Khazistan or whatever you call his country.

So after he gets all the belts then what? None of these guys he's fighting at 160 do anything for his legacy besides Canelo. He will either be forced to move up or come back on his hands and knees begging Canelo for a fight.:yep

Canelo will do nothing more for his legacy than he already has done. Years from now, if they never fight, it will be obvious who was the greater fighter. And it won't be Saul "El Pollo roja" Alvarez. Canelo is tainted goods now :deal

Gotta love all the trolls acting as though the fight's dead despite both sides being adamant they're still negotiating it.

    This thread is f@cking spasticated.

The possibilities are endless for GGG. The WBA plan to enforce the Jacobs fight and Saunders is apparently willing to take the fight to allow him to unify all the belts. Then he can go knock out a few more top ten ranked contenders to go with the 7 he's demolished already. Then there is the option of moving to 168 and taking on one of several decent options there.

As for Canelo ,I'm sure he will make plenty of money, there are enough screaming schoolgirl groupies in Mexico who will pay good money to watch him fight anyone. But given that he doesn't seem to be able to make 154 anymore and won't ever be taken seriously as a middleweight without going through GGG then he's in a kind of career limbo as far as being respected by the real fans goes. If money and being a pop star fighter is more important to him than respect from the fans then good luck to him. It's a short career.

The fact is the LINEAL MW CHAMPION vacated his belt rather than fight his MANDATORY for a 70/30 split in his favor.

I doubt that. I would love to see it, but if Alvarez ever fights GGG it will be in 6 years time when he is 40 and using a mobility scooter.

And alot of irrational people who think this fight is over because belt was vacated, and are happy about it, are going to look like even bigger idiots when the fight gets signed at 80/20.

And these clowns will complain about women being drama queens and overreacting. :rofl

If the fight gets signed with an even more favorable split for Canelo, then aren't the people calling him a coward likewise overreacting? Wouldn't it be rational for him to do whatever it takes to secure greater advantages monetarily or in the ring?
